Greer "will address judicial independence and the civil jury system. He will discuss how the Terri Schiavo case and other recent events impact and damage the civil jury system in America." Huh?!
What jury? What we had was one man condemn an innocent woman to one of the most inhumane deaths imaginable.

A nothing news item today, except it's a reminder how decent people, even Freepers, got a badly distorted view of Terri's condition and prognosis from the media.
Terri Schiavo's brother to speak in N.H.
Short story. Note this one short paragraph:
"Terri Schiavo was diagnosed as being in a persistent vegetative state after her heart stopped in 1990. Doctors thought there was no chance she would recover enough brain function to survive without life support."
How much disinformation can you cram into two sentences? Terri hadn't been on life support for fifteen years. She needed only food and water to survive, not more "brain function."
The world may yet learn who stopped her heart that fateful night.

Is anyone in contact with Dr. Hammesfahr? He spent more good medical time with Terri than any other physician that I know of. I'd like to solicit his view of the Positional Asphyxia theory of Terri's injury and see if he finds it viable.
It could make a fascinating thread.

Positional Asphyxia is real and is associated with the prone position. ... This could... occur if the individual is in the prone position and has sufficient weight on their back for an extended period of time (a result of people attempting to control the individual).Medical Alert Concerning Positional Asphyxia
Both the EMS and Bobby Schindler reported that Terri was found in the prone position. Why did Michael Schiavo keep trying to say he flipped her over onto her back.........??

There, Greer instructed members of the mainstream media in how to report on significant legal stories like the battle over Terri's life.
A Judge Instructing the Media on how to report a story in such a contriversial Story. In other words He is out indoctrinating the MSM for future stories like Terri's MURDER.

The lady was left deaf and blind by an illness in infancy. If the ACLU or the Michael Schiavo crowd had been around, she would have been quickly put to death -- because she would have
wanted to die, you understand. A child like that would not have any "quality of life!" Fortunately, the likes of Greer and Felos weren't even born yet. Instead, Helen Keller was loved, and lovingly helped, and in time she conquered her terrible handicaps to become an inspiration to the whole world.
>> "The one resolution, which was in my mind long before it took the form of a resolution, is the key-note of my life. It is this, always to regard as mere impertinences of fate the handicaps which were placed upon my life almost at the beginning. I resolved that they should not crush or dwarf my soul, but rather be made to blossom, like Aaron's rod, with flowers." ---Helen Keller

Those "mere impertinences of fate" left Keller without either the sight or sound necessary to learn language. Yet she is far more eloquent than any of the right-to-die advocates who visit here. They are obviously the ones who flunk the "quality of life" test.
