Bump and bookmark! I've despised the Weather Channel for years. They seem to think that Alaska and Hawaii are not worthy of their coverage. Now, this is the straw that broke the camel's back.
"Sun Warmth" --I like it.
My back porch has a metal roof; I attached a magnetic thermometer that gives me a "sun warmth" temp. A thermometer near the door is a regular temperature measure.
I got sick of the Weather Channel when they started Storm Stories, then they got even worse. The 'what if?' sensationalism is over the top. My husband fired off an e=mail about this latest global warming garbage.
The solution is to educate the public as to FREE alternatives like the http://www.NOAA.gov and other sites.
The way to hurt the weather channel is to show they are irrelevant. Why should I watch some old hag repeate what is available faster for free elsewhere?
Every time hollyweird tries to make a manly tv series it degenerates into the psydopotty humor man show disguised left wing pansy manure.
You are right we need a normal straight channel. The problem is most of those people whow are in a position to set this stuff up don't know any normal straight men.
TRUE!!!
FR was 1000% better than any "wheather" channel coverage. They were just repeating the data from the NOAA.gov site.
The weather channel is USELESS and serves no purpose.
The Satelite channels would make infinitly more money if they would drop weather channel and just repeat the NOAA.gov data stream.
No humans, all automation, all profit.
actually we should be writing to
DirectTV and DishTV asking them to DROP the weather channel.
Tell them the http://www.NOAA.gov does what the weather channel does FOR FREE!
Drop the weather channel and drop the subscription costs.
Good call.
Their forcasting is just as rotten as their politics!
