He was a democrat. his opponent was a democrat. I'm still trying to figure out the whole thing behind a "southern Democrat" though.
Sounds like an execution to me as well.
My prayers go out to his family. I grew up in Lake Charles. I can't imagine why anyone would kill him. He was well loved in the community.
My son died in Lake Charles under similar circumstances in 2004 and nothing was done to investigate. Even after I brought forth witnesses of his assault, nothing was done. My son had been beaten and his car was vandalized and urinated in. The coroners autopsy report did not list half of the injuries to my son's body, including a wound to his shoulder. I was told it would cost me a million dollars to take a ten dollar train ride when trying to hire an attorney to investigate. It is the political way in Louisiana.
I pray that Mr. Washington's family has better luck in finding justice. I feel what they are going through.
