Yes, you can go like a man, on your feet, walking to your fate, accepting your fate. But I would have rather have had some level of acceptance on his part for his actions, rather than what he did.
I will not celebrate his demise. I only offer up prayers for the victims, and their families, and hope that this gives them some closure for his atrocities and abomonations towards others.

What separates Us from Them is that we have the capacity to still pray to Our Lord and Savior that even an evil person like Saddam may have still found repentance and salvation.
The hundreds of thousands never had the chance, which is why we must pray daily and give thanks.

Hanging tyrants is WONDERFUL and lets other tyrants know that they are NOT as "safe" as they might hope that they are. Thank you, again. I look forward to joining with you in our endevour to root out tyranny in it's many forms. I'll bring the tea and rope, you (graciously) may bring the crumpets.
The combination of my manliness and your femininity may well convince our statespersons of the virtues of stamping out tyranny. Why, we could vacation in the south of France. In a lovely cabin. Near the beach. To which, I haven't understood hollywood celebrities having ignored this 'cause', whilst embarking upon the adoption of African orphans.
To this I say, "let's change". And with your help, we may be able to affect a climate in which, orphans take a backseat to tryannists. Not to mention the beautiful tans and scenery. I love scenery.

That we can feel a shudder of coldness for the mortality of a truly evil man (and I'm going to have trouble getting to sleep) gives us pause. Thanks be to God for potential lives saved, as well as the closure gained for Saddam's victims' families.
The "Live" thread was justifiably jubilant, but now is the time for reflection among the civilized element of our souls.
