(had to move the national debate from whether to stay the course to how do we start down the path out)

The next part of the "marron peace plan" is this; having sealed the border to ordinary ground attackers, they must answer rocket attacks by moving the border forward every time a rocket clears the fence. Move the fence, bulldoze any structures that wind up on the wrong side of the fence, compensate the owners, and push them to the arab side of the fence. Repeat as necessary. You won't have to move the fence very many times before they get the message. Provocateurs would keep just enough rockets whizzing. Israel would have to keep moving the fence until it included every Muslim country.
Too big a perimeter to defend.

Neither side has followed through.

That says it all but we only hear about Israel's actions that are counter to the spirit of the road map. It's always Israel who is throwing wrenches into the peace efforts. As far as Palestinian territory is concerned, there is none as it has yet to be negotiated. How can there be peace when one side refuses to even recognize the other's right to exist. I hope I never see a Palestinian state in my lifetime.

What is WRONG with Bush that he is doing this crap? What's in a name rooted in shame?
