Disillusioned Western Men Seek to "Thai" the Knot (Western Women Are Wrecks)

There was a similar run on Japanese wives a few decades ago, but they began to acquire Western ways, and without a doubt Thai wives will also go through the cycle. The secret is to find a wife who is just like your mother but younger, and they don't make them like that anymore, so it's hopeless. Earth will depopulate itself; it's over.

This was indeed an interesting perspective and report for us all.

No flaming, no presuming. It's just that I, too, have been there and done that. As much as I was looking forward to the holidays this year, by the time Christmas actually arrived, I couldn't wait for it to be over. My Mom had a nasty car accident on Christmas Eve (hurt, but she'll be okay), everyone in my house was sick with the flu, kids were stir crazy from being house bound for almost a week, and I was ready to pull my hair out! I had too much to do, but since I didn't want to take three sick kids outside in the cold to do it, it simply didn't get done.

I can understand the "growly" look. Folks with long faces at Christmastime are usually that way for a reason - and not a pleasant one. I find that a sympathetic look and a softly spoken, "You're not alone," can unfurl a brow and maybe even bring a smile.

You know, I just posted on another thread about middle school American girls dancing like prostitutes, and just happened to see this thread as well.

A few years ago in college, I happened to meet a foreign exchange student who just so happens to be Vietnamese. Actually, I met her at a restaurant, which is part of what I'll get to later. Every saturday, on break from work, I went to eat there, where the service among the servers was very polite and nice. Much different from where I work, where the "native" girls basically talked about who they did the night before, how much they drank, how much "x" they hit, etc. These were high school girls (and some middle school), mind you, of whom I was the boss, and in college. The girls in college were even worse. I cannot even begin to tell you what I've seen at Frat parties.

So, these women date the worst sorts. Which is sad, because I know sweet guys, who will be incredibly successful in life, who get ignored. And yet there are girls who see themselves as victims because they choose to date the a-hole frat party guys instead of the nice ones.

A girl I know has as her tagline for her AOL IM account "All a girl wants is a guy who will prove to her that all guys aren't the same". But her last "boyfriend" is a minor league baseball player who has already had two children with two different mothers. In fact, this guy actually had a summer job in the off-season, and quit so he wouldn't have to pay extra child support to one of the mothers. The girl I know was aware of this, but dated him anyway. Of course, when she found out he had cheated on her with multiple girls, she came to the conslusion that all men are evil. I can almost laugh at her stupidity.

I decided to hook up a teacher with whom I used to work with a friend. He's very athletic (as in, a world class jiujitsuku and wrestler), good looking, and is in college for culinary arts. On the day they were to go out, a man by the name of Dale Earnhardt Jr. called her (she partied over there a lot). Now, it probably want take too much speculation about what Junior wanted from her. Sure enough, she blew off the double date planned, and went to party. She was one night stood, and couldn't figure out why my friend wouldn't go out with her. Or why I refused to lobby for him to change my mind. She, of course, came to the conclusion that me and my friend were both jerks too. Of course, none of this was her fault.

Final story. Like I said before, I worked in college, and went to the same place each Saturday on break to get food. Teryaki chicken to die for. Over the span of 6 months, I got to know all of the little Asian girls by name. They knew what I got, and even started making it when I walked into the door. They were always smiling and nice, a contrast to MY workers who on multiple occasions ignored customers to talk on their cell phones to their "girlfriends" about what went down the night before. Off topic, a parent of a girl threatened to sue me for taking away a cell phone. Kid you not. Anyway, 6 months later, I've got a phone number from one who is transerring to my college from a community college. She is the most strong willed person I have ever met. She works not, one, but two jobs. She considers herself blessed just to be here, let alone to be in college. She is in the chemistry program, about to graduate, which shows that she is far more disciplined than I (I majored in history). And to say that she is submissive is laughable. I use the term "feisty", but she can be downright mean. Of course, I USUALLY treat her like a queen, so she doesn't have a reason to rip into me. But she's hard working, incredibly intelligent (did I mention she's going to grad school when she graduates?), and simply uses sheer willpower to get herself through difficult situations (like going to a foreign country and learning the language while working two jobs and getting good grades in frickin CHEMISTRY!).

Yeah, there are dorks I know who sit at home and watch anime, dreaming of submissive little asian freaks. Sure, there are loser old men who wants a trophy woman in old age. But people are using these to cover up the fact that there ARE a sizable number of men dating outside of the traditional bounds. It has nothing to do with submissiveness and compliancy. But it has everything to do with having a significant other who respects themselves instead of making stupid decisions under the guise of "freedom", then getting upset when those stupid decisions have bad consequences and not taking responsibility.

There ARE gentlemen who are tired of run down women who think that they are a victim, just like the two stories I mentioned above. There ARE men tired of reading stories about women who make $20,000 a year marrying men who make $100,000 a year, and taking half of his stuff after a year or two of marriage. And there ARE college age and early career men like myself who simply don't want to go out with women who get drunk, strip down to underwear, and dance on a table at the Sig Ep house. And then when women tell us that we are judgemental and contributing to their "victim" status because we feel that way, suddenly the Asian Persuasion seems that much more appealing.
