Well, the women might be "wrecks", and the men could be "damaged goods" as well. So, shall we say that it serves all those concerned right?

Thai women have other appeal besides loyalty.

Lots of these American fellows are losers, dweebs, geeks and has-beens so maybe they go where they (or at least their wallets) are wanted. In that case, it is usually Asia and or Eastern Europe. As for Asia, there can be no doubt that the female species there by and large are wonderful--of course many exceptions, but on the whole, very positive, bright, loving, giving and less burdened with psycho issues. Even PMS/Change of Life phenomenon seem to be manifested in a lighter way in Asia...maybe it is all the vegetables and Chinese/Asian herbs and overall healthy living??
If it is true love for both sides, I have no problem with it.
The problem is this: In the last five or ten years I have noticed a MUCH MORE HIGHER quality of gentlemen from America in Asia looking for love...successful guys, not geeks/jerks at all, many handsome, well to do, but had bad experiences with "stressed out/issue laden" and "role confused" American women.
This change in the quality of men out in Asia looking for love and stability across international borders shows me something about changing American society.

Let's cut through the BS of that article and get right down to it: Mr. Sullivan sounds like a perv.

And so do the others...they're all marrying women half their age. They hardly seem to be looking for a 50-50 partnership in their marriages.

...the well-built Sullivan, sporting a pink shirt and white pants... his emerald earring dazzling. His ensemble is a little...ambiguous...
To: Dallas59
I find it a little strange that Mr. Sullivan's wife-to-be calls him by his last name, but otherwise, more power to these guys. I hppe they all have successful marriages.
You are right, though, from my perspective, they ain't looking in the right places.

Thai women don't seem to be anything to write home about. You wouldn't want to just roll over and fall asleep next to one of them because you may just end up with a knife in your back.

I think you've nailed it with the term "role confused".
