I thought Anthony ( and Denver) got off easy. And how stupid was George Karl for leaving in his starters during "garbage time?"

Chump change. Just like T.O.'s 35K fine--his contract is 25 million.

And how stupid was George Karl for leaving in his starters during "garbage time?" Stupid, maybe. But he had three players at the scorer's table to substitute when the Knicks gave up the ball yet again.
And that's STILL no reason to headlock-foul someone.
Isiah Thomas should have been suspended - if he didn't instigate it, he at least condoned it.

Fines are a joke. The NFL started penalizing teams on kickoffs when players clowned around in the end zone. Perhaps the ThugBA should do the same, maybe give the next 5 opposing teams 10 points automatically or something.

THe NBA is the first sport where the players brawled, thats for sure. I mean, it is UNHEARD of in Baseball and Hockey. Oh I forget, it doesn't count unless the sport is perceived as "black".

Oh these fines and suspensions hurt alright. That's like having me having to cough up a buck to shoot a game of pool at the local bar.

You are correct. Carmelo loses street cred on this one lol.
First, he slaps like the little sissy kid that never knew how to roll up a fist. Second he runs like the lil beeeee atch that he is.
What a total wuss cheap shot and run girl he is.

Well, at least only one use of the code word "thug" in the thread so far.

The fines are nothing, and won't stop the fights.
Here's what I'd do if I were the commish. I'd issue orders that each team would forfeit their next 10 games. That's right, forfeit. And if any of the players were seriously injured in the fighting, I'd increase the number of forfeits to 25.
That's right - I'd handle it kinda like when kids misbehave badly. EVERYBODY suffers the penalty REGARDLESS who was at fault.
