Are we to assume from this statement that John Kerry has more important tasks on his agenda than establishing peace with Iran? The obvious analogue to this (if I may digress just a bit): If the "inconvenient truth" is that the fate of planet Earth hangs "in the balance," due to an absence of good environmental policy, as Al Gore contends; and if the 2000 Democratic presidential nominee is the only politician who takes the matter seriously enough (as he seems to believe), why isn't it incumbent upon him to make another run at the White House in 2008?
Has anyone else noticed that liberals often have a messianic complex, yet appear to be too busy with...well, just about anything, to be troubled with doing whatever they believe must be done to prevent catastrophe?
