Is that Farrah's "Charlie's Angels" ride?

Yep, that's the one I remember. A few years ago, I had a neighbor who had one of those in his garage. Each Christmas when he put up the outside lights and decorations, the old wagon was pulled into a circular driveway out front, where it remained for the rest of the holiday season; a life-sized Santa sitting behind the wheel, endlessly perusing his "list" with a "flashlight" that was somehow plugged into the low-voltage garden lighting. The cargo area was filled with boxes wrapped to look like Christmas presents. I was sure the car had a Pontiac insignia on it; thanks for the confirmation.

I believe this nation's auto designers have contracted some type of "can't design a car for s**t" disease. That thing is revolting.

"Wasn't there once a wagon variation of the corvette?

I think it was called the Nomad."

It would seem in this age of wagons, crossovers, small suvs, that GM would have brought this back as a cool retro-function-performance based offering.

I'm sure they are studying, to determine whether to do a concept vehicle.

And if it ever gets out, it will be a fwd sometime around 2013.

But GM is the 2nd biggest import car company in China!!

"The Griswold Family Roadster ! ;-D"

That's "Truckster". The Family Truckster. All that's missing is the "Honky Lips" spray paint on the quarter panel. ;-)

Well, if Chevy can make a Me-Too Cruiser, Ford can make a Me-Too Wagon
(following the Magnum concept).

Perhaps I'm just being stubborn here. I do think, however, that if they want to create a new car with a Mustang undercarriage, then they should make it from the viewpoint of it being its own car with Mustang roots. As opposed to being a new kind of Mustang. That's just my 2 cents.

I agree, I even said as much, if they make station wagon out of the stang platform to compete with the magnum etc.. it should have its own nameplate and not be badged Mustang.
