I would bet money that Mr. Weinstein is about as Jewish as Rosie O'Donnell is Catholic - I wonder if he even knows what the Pentateuch or the Torah are. He's probably just another shill for the ACLU and I'd be surprised if he isn't a card-carrying member of the ACLU.

Many [evangelical Christians] tell me, "Mikey, OK, Anne Frank, Dr. Seuss, Jack Benny, Gandhi, they're all burning eternally in the fires of hell."

Well, Ghandi's there, that's for sure.

"he was asking the Department of Defense's inspector general to look into the video, and determine whether the people who appeared in it . . . had violated military regulations"

Military officers, no more than teachers or other public officials, including the President (who is the commander in chief), do not lose their constitutional rights simply because they are in an office of public trust or in uniform.

I'm sure George Washington prayed publicly while he was in uniform, and if he can do it, so can John Jones at the Pentagon.

Yet another attack on Judeo-Christian values that would end the United States, no less its military.

Great article..great guy, Weinstein. That video was Bullsh*t! there are many faiths in the military.
these officers can just wait until they get out of the military....its all Americans' military, not just theirs.

Go ahead and flame me now! All Christians should back this guy and say "Not in my name!" To seperate church and state is to protect ALL religions.

Weinstein would be wise to direct his energies elsewhere.

Sooooo..... Mikey....

What Article of the UCMJ are you suggesting was violated to the degree that a court-martial is called for??

The UCMJ is by and large written and enforced within the context of the Constitution (exceptions for conduct in wartime, etc.)........

Soooo... You would use the UCMJ to deprive these officers of theis Constitutional and inalienable rights??

Is that right..... is that right.....????

You are the politically-correct miserable shyster that should be dealt with....

Lawyers..... yumpin-yiminy...

Are you serious? Please explain why you have no Constitutional rights when you put on a military uniform. I'm very curious to hear your answer.

Nonsense. You can call the President of the United States an @$$hole all day long. If a uniformed officer publicly calls the President of the United States an @$$hole, he will soon be up on charges for expressing contempt toward his Commander in Chief, and properly so.

Does this Weinstein person (who appears by the first part of this article to be a royal first class Webb-type of person -- see tagline) actually have a rank? I didn't see it in the article, just that he was an "officer".

Oh, and a lawyer, of course.

Irony: When the guy who crusades for religious freedom starts complaining that some people have been too free with their religion.

Well, being a communist sympathiser was bad enough, but mainly for drinking his own urine.

So, exactly why should ANYONE have to wait until they are out of the military, out of office or anything else to talk about their faith?
