I happened to see part of this on TV yesterday. Ross and two other men were making speeches to each other in an otherwise empty room. Politicians can be very strange.

They might leave. If they are true to their conservative convictions and get marginalized, you could see defections to the other side of the aisle. It's happened before.

There really are decent Democrats, although it seems sometimes that they don't get the leadership positions.
My parents are Blue Dogs, and they are MORE conservative then RINOs.

I was heartened by what I saw on C-Span yesterday.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why the powers that be will not put up a decent Republican against John Tanner.

People that would never vote for a Dem for president keep putting this empty suit back in office term after term.

I just left it blank, even though, I knew it was a vote for Tanner.

Let's see how many of them get spanked by Mistress Pelosi.

Oh, yeah.

"“We have to tear down that aisle between Republicans and Democrats,” said Rep. Allen Boyd (D-Fla.)."

I'd say that's already been done. It's either Democrat or Democrat lite, pick your koolaid.

One just kills you slower.

“The message that was sent on election night was not that the American people chose Democrats to lead the country out of this mess — they fired the current Republican leadership. We have a narrow window of opportunity to prove we can do better.”

You're correct, but I don't think your boss, Ms Pelosi got that message. She thinks she has a mandate. Anyway good luck to you all, you'll need it.

In 2002 the people voted for a republican congress and we didn't get one, because the dems insisted on partisan obstruction and destroying whatever credibility the gov't had just to get their slimey hands on power. The democrat party is totally unwilling to accept the will of the people unless it's in their favor. This makes me want to spit.

What we will hear now is "investments in infrastructure" to be paid for with tax increases on the "rich".

Yup, just like the Clinton regime, it will be "investing in America's future/chirren/security/etc," not "taxing and spending."

And just like in the '90's, millions of our nitwit neighbors will uncritically gulp it down.

Congratulations! You place the blame on the obstructionists where it belongs
