I do not make it personal.
"I do not make it personal."
That's good. I don't want to ever get personal. It's good that we can have a rigourous debate and move on on friendly terms.
Like I said I want a conservative President in 2008, I just do not for various reasons think Rudy and McPain can or should win.
Good day.
Have a good day yourself.
I voted for a republican senator, Kay Baily Hutchinson. She is a conservative.
Now, the scary scenario is, if Bloomberg does finance a third party, we'd get people fleeing both sides to vote in a third party and give a plurality to Hillary like Perot did Clinton in 91.
The other concern is if Bill Richardson ran as her VP, it would bring the SW into question, we've been trending purple anyway, and that combo could send them Red.
I suspect too many people still need to read up on Hillary to understand what a dangerous person she really is.
According to a recent poll (I'll repeat one more time) onl 9% of the population considers themselves a right wing conservative. Not very many in the scheme of things and certainly not enough to get a far right conservative who walks on water elected.
I'm one of the people who went third party in 1991 -- NEVER again.. and we were upset because of a lot of things that have no bearing on this day and age.
It depends on who was running against them, in all parties.
Maybe, but that 9% is large enough if it bolts to wreck a republican. Thats why although a candidate does not have to be in lock step he or she does have to pay difference to the far right to win as a republican.
Wonder how many people know that Comstat came about under Rudy in order to fight crime and he was ruthless on it -- to the point of making people very angry because it was one size fit all across the board.
Anyway, after Rudy left office once again you saw people sleeping on the streets, beggars outside hotels and outside restaurants and stores asking for money... all things that, as a tourist, make you feel a little less safe.
I still remember an officer following a group of us one night into Central Park -- where we went for a carriage ride in the snow -- just to make certain we got a ride and he was there when we returned and hung around until we got a taxi. It was a small thing, but I didn't see things like that once Rudy was gone and Bloomberg was in office.
I recognize the man is imperfect, but in the end, aren't we all in some way? I care what he will do for our country as president and so far I can't think of anyone better who is electable.
He missed all the gates, disqualify him!
I do not know who all was running. Was there a more conservative person on the ballot? If so I would have voted for them, if not I might have skipped that race. Example in the last election I skipped the County Commissioners race, only one person was running a rat, who was a lib. I vote for conservatives.
