Personally I think UN behavior in Somalia went a long way toward leading to the attack on our troops there. A canadian under UN control was eventually convicted of torturing a kid in Somalia. There was a Belgian soldier involved but I don't know if he was ever convicted.
As a last resort I agree. But it will look nicer in the history books if we at least try to appear friendly.
Anything described as a "U.N." problem will never be solved.

You must understand. The UN is keeping the world peaceful and helping everybody (with US cash).
Clearly that's the problem - they just haven't gotten the don't rape and pillage memo. I'm sure once they 'hear' Kofi-Kup's message they'll cease raping and pillaging pronto.
