Can anyone point to any famous study groups that actually solved anything? Sure. The United Nations!
The UN has created tens of thousands of well paying positions for otherwise useless bureaucrats!

hopefully Krauthammer will find out about it and talk about it on FNC.
and it didn't seem like a very controversial point - regarding syrian and iranian assistance for the problems in iraq.

Can anybody point to a "study" that we concluded during a war?? I don't recall a "study group" being convened while Clinton was bombing Belgrade in favor of Albanian Muslims who were invading Yugoslavia.

Good thing there wasn't a Hitler Study Group... Sie würden Deutsches heute sprechen.

No matter what the report says, I think President Bush should assign Vice President Cheney to implement any portion of it that Cheney, with Rumsfeld as his primary consultant, believes to be useful -- and then take the entire Iraq Study Group on a hunting trip.

Oh FGS, we are going to have an Iraq "support group." This is inevitable once you decide to be the world's "mommy". Liberalism has killed over 300 million people. Muslims couldn't come close to this in their wildest fantasies.
We should do what should have been dome from day one -- Bomb them into the stone ages (including Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia). Kill about 25-50 million of them. Let the rest spend the next 100 years sifting through rubble to find building stones for the foundations of their grass roof huts, while we harvest the oil from their lands. Give them a hundred years or so to consider the errors of their ways.
The problem with PC Humanism is that there are no longer consequences for decisions and actions. Consequences need to come back big time.

We should be invading Syria and Iran -- that is how to win the Iraq campaign. A massive aerial bombardment should suffice. As far a Tehran is concerned, give them a Dresden-style attitude adjustment.

A support group is exactly what he called it. It will include the neighbors and the EU. They will all tell Iraq what it must do. Why not just put the insurgents on "double-secret probation"?

I'm sick and tired of having us run a PC war. A "PC War" isn't a war. It's a dance.

Oh no. that would hurt pwecious FEEWINGS.
It's all about pussyfooting with the enemy. And starshine and lemon drops and flowers in gun-barrels! And exploring our feminine side.
Ever get that "not so fresh" feeling? We're about to.

We are a country of pussies and I fear for my grandchildren. Multiculturalism, political correctness, and Fabian socialism will be the death knell of the West.

This study group was authorized by Congress, not by the President or the Military Once again, the Republican Congress does a great job of pissing it's pants.

NOT ONE MILITARY PERSON ON THE COMMITTEE But you DO have Vernon Jordan, Clinton's "fix-it man". What else do you need?

What would have happened if we had created a West German democracy and then pulled out?
