Thanks. I thought I had to pay for 7.5.

I ordered the CD's too. I have several C & R's and plan on acquring more in the future. The amount of info on the site is staggering and the forums are just a plus.

I'm going to download the new version tonight. I'm really amazed at how much better free AVG is than Norton...and Norton cost me over fifty bucks!

How is AVG free? All I see is trial versions or buy.

Good afternoon.
"I've never even heard of the site. What was it selling? Used military rifles?"
It isn't sales, but the vast store of information about military surplus firearms that may be found there.
I'll have to save most of it to DVD.

From Forum Status
Just a quick note to let everyone know the forum is NOT closing. It is going to continue running as it has until the weekend of January 6-7 when I will be moving it to a more robust server and taking over hosting duties. There will be a downtime as the database is moved over. This could be anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Now for the part I don't like doing but is necessary to keep the forum running. Much like Jamie I cannot afford to run the forum out of pocket so I have setup a Paypal account you can donate. Just click on Donate in the menu bar at the top of the forum or click here Donate
For those unable or willing to use paypal you can send donations here:

I would also like to thank everyone for supporting the forum and being a part of the family.

I use AVG too, I've found that having a lot of options is the only option.

I'm ordering them too. That site saved me more than once when I completely dissembled my different mausers.
To: Fred911
That's a pristine looking SKS! Is that yours?
Mine looks like it's been handled a bit.

Oh, man, I feel your pain. Do I ever... I ended up doing a complete slick-and-rebuild for a friend when somebody installed a root kit. It couldn't have been his kids playing a CD on the system because he told them not to do that so it must have been a burglar...yeah, that's it...or the dog... ;-(
To: PeteB570
I've never been much into military rifles, mostly sporting rifles.
I did buy an old 7.62x54 once for $50 and it came with 200 rnds of armor piercing ammo.
We had fun shooting that through old truck doors, washing machines, etc.
I bought a winchester 94 LA in 30-30 a few months ago just because it was a good deal and they are out of business now.
I figure I'll trade that one to someone for something else I might use.

If you are a gun nut like me..... If in your travels you ever come across a bolt for a 6mm Remington 788, I need one.
The 788 is a cheap model of the 700, but this one is a real shooter! ( well under 1/2" M.O.A.)
Not worth a lot but its my son's and he liked it for varmints.
Thanks

Good afternoon.
I will keep my eyes open, but I tend to focus on military arms.
