you dinky dow.
Not a chance. Perhaps he will be Hillary's VP candidate if he survives the next year of scrutiny.
".......or a bullet in the head/heart attack/suicide/etc;.."
you left out arkancide.
I don't think Hitlery will take the chance of having Obama so closely connected to her. She will do him in.
I don't think he'll be the Democrat nominee in 2008...maybe later, after Hillary has had her turn and he can point to some achievement other than beating Alan Keyes to become senator.
"former hippies with fried brains..."
should read; "current communist swine with unconditional loyalty to the cause of world domination....and the destruction of u.s. sovereignty."
But if the moderates and libertarians stay home they'll REALLY teach the conservatives a lesson!
Won't they?
Correct. Charisma sells; big time.
Who would have given JFK a serious shot in 1958?
And should that happen, what a sad and unfortunate day that would be for America and Americans.
The man is a big, big zero.
" or John McCain (whose single biggest problem is that he IS John McCain.) "
LMAO
Nah. In an attempt to pronounce the name, he will be thrown into an epileptic fit, leading to a myocardial infarction, and croak.
"President Obama" will take office in 2009 just as "Sen. Ford (D-TN) and Sen. Steele (R-MD)" will take office in 2007.
Isn't that exactly how we got into this mess in the first place. I'm thinking the Clintonoids, and now the election disaster last month.
???? Huh? All Americans , excepting the tiny fraction of "Native Americans" who have no European or African ancestry, are partially something?
If he was born in the US, he's an American.
Your points are spot on!
We whined when Clinton was in office and we had a majority in the House and Senate. We continued to whine with Bush sitting in the Oval Office and we had a majority in the House and Senate. When do we stop whining and start taking responsibility?
Why are there more posts about whether or not Obama can win based on his name than there are about Republicans as "stale toast"?
It's like that with a lot of candidates who look good on paper, but who may not be up to the job in real life. Some of them are very well aware of their shortcoming. Others find out in the course of a campaign.
You could see the same thing in the recent Massachusetts governor's race. Voters chose an inexperienced young African-American candidate, Deval Patrick as a way of making a break with the past and feeling good about themselves. It's a leap in the dark, as electing the inexperienced and untested Obama would be.
A lot of people would be willing to take such a chance on the national level, and not just liberals or loyal Democrats, but I don't know that Obama would be willing to oblige them, or that his candidacy could survive all the difficulties and hazards of a presidential campaign.

Yes, the Clintons and fringe 60's wackos threw us under the bus. But, let's not forget the other Liberal brainless one, Jimmah Carter, who gave us the current Iran situation. Hang on for a bumpy, very dangerous ride. We have to survive the next two years with the new lunatic group coming into the majority with the head, brainless one, Pelosi at the helm. We need to pray that we're not attacked again during these idiots reign. Meanwhile, Clinton, Pelosi, Kerry, Schumer, Rangel, and the rest of the lunatics are sucking up to our enemies. Arlington is full of patriots turning in their graves.
