I think we should start a campaign to send all of the RATS a white flag with the words SURRENDER printed on it.

it is my humble opinion that if senator levin, from michigan, guts the missile defense program, he will earn the number one spot in the democrat party heirarchy of scumbags.

i would hope one day that he is recognized for his treachery and unbearable pretentions.

Democrats did not lie. They made it clear that if they were made a majority in Congress that they would do everything possible to disarm our armed forces just as they have always done.

Democrats also made it plain that they would kill the booming economy, raise taxes, increase the size of government, grow the welfare state, and socialize health care, and impeach President Bush. (This last is a political act to keep Republicans off balance for the 08 election. If Bill Clinton could not be impeached, no one ever will be.)_.

Americans wanted a "change." Now we must sit back and take it like a man.

Hey, I voted for the Stupid Party pal. I held my nose for them even though many of them shouldn't have been elected dog catcher.

So enough with bashing conservatives about "staying home" or "cutting and running." We all voted, the GOP still lost, please, let's focus on 2008 (or are you guys going to pull the same stunt in 2008 when a RINO is nominated and you denigrate conservatives for not supporting him/her?)

Watch Alaska. Some Ds want to make military cuts and base closures especially in Alaska. The ABM system is based just down the road. While shutting that down would remove about half a dozen nuke targets from the enemies 'must hit first' list, it would also impact the local economy.

It is pretty hard to cut the Seawolf program when it was already cut down to only 3 in the early 90's.

They don't have the votes to gut missile defense. Period.

The Dems don't have the votes to do anything if The Stupid Party has the ba**s to do to the Dems what they've been doing to the GOP for the last twelve years... that is, to obstruct at every turn.

Alas, I'm not real hopeful, however.

He added that he favors stalling purchases of interceptor missiles - vital for missile defense — until after testing is complete.

Communist!

The Dems will insist they're tough on national security. What a bunch of idiots. Their pet projects are more important than defending the country. Are they aware of the fact that they and their children and grandchildren can get killed?

Dude, I and many other conservatives voted for the Republicans. The Republicans lost due to other factors. The party that holds power in the six year have lost Congressional seats since WWII. The GOP lost a large swath of Libertarian and independent voters fed up with the reckless spending and hypocrisy on moral values and corruption. These same independents were brainwashed by the MSM's portrayal of the Iraq War and voted for the Dims.

The assumption that conservatives "stayed home", "cut and ran," or "taught the GOP a lesson" is just that, a bogus strawman fabricated by GOP party loyalists and their masters in the RNC.

Got it?

We were thinking of attempting to sell our home in the spring here in Florida (wishful thinking) and move to Huntsville (home of the Missile and Space Command). Now I'm not sure that would be wise. It seems perfectly obvious to me that now, more than ever, we need Missile Defense at home and abroad to keep us at home and our boys abroad as safe as possible. But I think the Dems looks upon it as a cherry that needs pickin'. Gutting the Missile and Defense budget would really hit the Huntsville area hard I would imagine. </p>

They don't need votes to cut what isn't there. They're just covering clintons rear end for what he'd already cut in the 90's.

Check out the links I've already posted many times previously AGAIN in this thread.

This will be a key issue to watch in Congress and a good one to split the dems on.

The Dem's are so bad at governing because their savvy is focused on politics alone.

Don't underestimate the cohesiveness of the Dem's when it comes to politics. (even if it does destroy us as a country)
