The perpetrators came from a chaotic and prison-like land to America. And having arrived there, apparently they are eagerly seeking out the one little American cranny that is familiar to them --PRISON.
And who could blame him? The first witness was a young black woman of 18 who was there with her little baby and helped the victims after the attack, as well as helping to identify the attackers. On the morning she was to testify, she looked out the window and saw 6 gangbangers SITTING on her car. She called the police and was escorted to the trial.

It is not a black neighborhood. It appears one of the white victims lived there too. It is a well to do mixed neighborhood.
We should put them down just like we do any rabid animal.
I am sad that so far, Larry Elder is the only one with a somewhat national audience to report on this crime. It is my fervent wish that this horrible attack would receive enough play nationally that even CNN would be dragged into reporting it. However, it might take an actual skateboard to the head of a CNN reporter to do so, I am sure. Yet it would be on all channels round the clock if the beaten victims were black. No one should want this media inequity, least of all black people.
I live in eastern L.A. County and this is the first that I have heard of it too.
The evidence that "Our Diversity is Our Strength" simply keeps mounting. Amazing, and to think our ancestors did not know this fact!

And it's a crying shame. We need to know that there are people in our city, or county, or state, or COUNTRY that are capable at such a "tender" age of becoming barbaric. We need to prevent it. We need to punish it. We need to question how we are civilizing our youth.

Looks like their mindset is that there are no innocent white people so all are fair game. Free speech and all that nonsense.
As you see from the rest of this thread, there are people not far from here who had never heard of this crime. Our media is such a sham. What is political correctness even giving them, other than a phony world that they show but that does not exist, where everyone is good except straight, white, conservative people?
It bears repeating. I hope someone like Rush or Sean would express a little national outrage. No one else will.
Well, that is certainly the wrong answer too.
What we need is to live by merit alone. Behavior alone. Forget ALL colors and differences. No more coddling or PC patronizing. It's hurting people in every shade.
Notice that the thugs acted as part of a crowd while the righteous people stood out from or against the crowd and acted as individuals.
This type of attack was a long time coming. In my opinion, this will only be the first. Black youths have been told for years that whitey is keeping them down, that whitey wants to keep them out of college, that whitey is responsible for not giving them the money to make them "rich", that whitey "repressed" their people for generations, that whitey is the devil himself.
You keep this up all day, every day, and then add the "gansta" crap that they keep listening to and you have an explosive mixture that results in this sort of attack.
What does Sharpton and Jackson expect? This is what they have worked for all these years. What they still don't realize is that all their rhetoric has meaning to this teenage idiots. To them it's a way to get on TV and make money, to these kids, those words mean something and creates hatred for the evil whitey.
Conceal and carry, keep repeating these words.
No, the perpetrators ARE American. They came from INSIDE America. I fear that they came from a place where no one supervised them but each other, for most of their 12-17 years in this country.
The idea that unparented, untaught older children should be left to their own devices is a joke. The founders of this country would have certainly felt that all youths not studying or working all day would turn to idle impractical pursuits. And they didn't even have MTV.
