Oh, BS!! Islam has practiced incrementalism where it hasn't been able to get away with intimidation and throat cutting. It will only be a matter of time before 200dB of Arabic wailing is echoing throughout the area.
It will become a reality...our Constituion protects their religion too.....and you can bet they will use this right eventually.
Islamists do not worship the moon, stop living in your own fantasy world.
We didn't exterminate the German people either.
I support the war on terror, not kooks.
And by the wayy to all you who cannot tell your rear ends from the war on terror, this story is about a mosque and resident reaction, it is not about terrorists or the war on terror.
There was a mosque in Dearborn that got the city to approve it. I don't if it's actually gone into practice.
Do all muslims commit acts of terrorism?
Never said they did. Why do you ask?
Are there pre WWII Jewish acts against Germans/Germany that would correspond to 9/11, the Cole, Khobar Towers etc.?
So why is that their symbol, then?
It's the very crux of your point. European Jews were guiltless, so (of course) their persecution was unjustified.
But my point, which soared far over your head, is that the vast, profound majority of muslims are guiltless, so (of course) their persecution is, and would be, unjustified.
Anyone talking about razing all mosques in America is blaming a group for the acts of a small minority of its members--the very essence of prejudice--and stands ready to conduct a violent pogrom in the name of that prejudice.
I think you have something here - if we start having national "pig races" all over the country wouldn't that be a "peaceful" way of driving the Muslim extemists out. I'll be glad to go to a pig race to support the American WAY! I'd like to have a piggy named Allah's Just the Devil!
Please point out where I personally have advocated razing a mosque. I have done no such thing. There'a difference between razing a mosque and discouraging one from being built.
Second, if most Muslims condemn terrorism, their silence regarding 9/11 has been overwhelming.
Philosophy in action, you might say.
The Baptists haven't declared war on other religions.
The Baptists haven't flown any airplanes into buildings lately.
The Baptists don't behead non-Baptists in the name of their diety.
The Baptists....need I go on?
Besides, if radical Baptist-extremists did any of these things, I'm fairly certain that mainstream Baptists would be speaking up and doing something about it.
I will not, because I did not claim that you personally have advocated razing a mosque.
But that call has been made, on this thread, by more than one poster. I'm glad you disagree with it.
I have no problem with discouraging construction of a mosque in a certain location, and I have a severe problem with the virtual silence among muslim leaders regarding condemnation of terrorism.
The problem I have is with blaming all adherents of a faith for the acts of a small minority of that group, and I'll say again, down that road lay pogroms and religious persecution, and worse.
Very clever. All those pigs squealing as they race. Gotta love it! lol
I did and make no apologies to anyone for doing so. The imams here have NOT in an organized way condemned the violence by other muslims which is clearly indicative of their tacit approval.
