Kerry was just CERTAIN after the 'Democrat win' in the House and Senate that he would be a shoein (is that correctly spelled?) for the 2008 bid.

Why should he go away? Kerry's great for us - he reminds the voters that democrats are a few elites propped up by large numbers of disconnected interest groups/

Well, now I know the public isn't completely crazy. No, but they're ruled by their feelings and will vote accordingly. That does not bode well for the nation. As President Bush found out, feelings can change in a hurry.
