Yes, prayers for our Commander-in-Chief!
Our Finest FRiend, DD, left a note in my mailbox this morning as to the meaning of "CIC". Thanks, Dave. I just hate not being able to figure something out, but even Google didn't help me on this one. Sometimes there is nothing to do but give up and ask. LOL.

Went out this morning to post The Colors. Cold, but beautiful blue skies and bright sunshine created this image...

Beautiful photo, DD!
It is a sparkly crystal clear and brisk day down our way. Leaves are blowing down the street. I took my car down to the garage this morning and on the drive back was thinking what a beautiful, colorful time of year this is in our valley.

Here's an old newspaper pic of an Air Force swearing in ceremony. The couple on the left are my sister-in-law and late brother-in-law. The other two are a brother and sister duo. After the AF, my bil went on to serve in the National Guard and became a deputy sheriff. Their son just returned from one year in Iraq.

Great pic, Diver - I have one of my father swearing me into the Navy I'll have to get scanned in. In the meantime, I have this one - he got to pin on my PH the day he retired from the Navy.

"2000 Navajo Code Talkers
In 2001, President George W. Bush honored the 29 Navajo Code Talkers of World War II. These Marine Corps radio operators used a secret code based on their native language to radio military plans between allied forces. The Japanese couldnt break the code because only Navajo speakers could understand it.
The medal was awarded because the work of the Code Talkers "greatly assisted in saving countless lives and hastening the end of World War II in the Pacific." The back of the medal is inscribed with Navajo words that mean "The Navajo Language Was Used to Defeat the Enemy."
To: ConorMacNessa
What a proud moment for both of you. It shows in your faces.
To: Mama_Bear
You're very welcome MB!
Goin' to go get the medals to match with the Wind Talkers blurb...
To: MEG33
