SHES GOONA BLOW WHEN SHE SEES THIS ONE !!!!

Dear Accy:

Dr Paul Irwing is a senior lecturer in organisational psychology at Manchester University. He claims that men are more intelligent than women.
(quote)-
"All the research I've done points to a gender difference in general cognitive ability. There is a mean difference of about five IQ points. The further you go up the distribution the more and more skewed it becomes. There are twice as many men with an IQ of 120-plus as there are women, there are 30 times the number of men with an IQ of 170-plus as there are women"

Well, gee considering your post above, you seem to be a woman basher.

I guess if 1950s pseudoscience is your cup of tea. Frankly, that study has been dismissed by nearly all responsible academics, especially considering that the good doctor's co-author asserts that Europeans have higher IQs than Africans... kinda turning the clock back to the 1890s, don't you think.

Probably the most obvious indicator of intellect and motivation is graduation from college and women have been outpacing men in that indicator for about a decade. But I guess that if you think we're all dumb ditzes who should stay in the kitchen, that's your own business. Heck, if we do what you're advocating, then America can become like the other gleaming beacons of economic and intellectual progress that advocate similar policies such as Saudi Arabia and Iran.

From an intellectual and motivation standpoint, you are.

This girl(accy) reminds me of the femenists rush always likes to talk about. How they focus entirely on their career when there younger, and as they get older and the biological clock starts ticking they will probably regret their decision.

Also, i think someone else put it best, 22-23 year old girls think they know everything.

This thread has been amusing, but for the record, nobody flips burgers at a McDonald's, they steam them.

Nah, I actually gave up my career and devoted 13 1/2 years to full time parenting. I'm a loser as you account for worth. Luckily, the important people in my life add the columns differently.

But it reiterates ideas that were in vogue during the earlier part of the 20th century. Luckily most people dismiss today dismiss such silly ideas.

I'm almost twenty-five, so I've been in the "real world" for a few years now... (eyes roll).

It seems to me like partners who cohabitate are really saying that they don't have faith in themselves and/or their partners to get through hard times.

Not that I want to tell you you're wrong, but that's not correct. I lived with Xena's Guy for several years before we married.

Yeah, that's what higher learning does to us weak-minded females.

How exactly am I messed up? And I graduated college two-and-a half years ago which means I have some real world context to back up my opinions?

“Smock found that young couples wanted to wait until they could afford a “real wedding” instead of going “downtown” to the justice of the peace. (Many women even refer to their live-in partner as “fiancé” when a wedding date is nowhere in sight.)”

Quite true. My step brother’s fiance has moved in with us and they are going to live with my parents while saving up for a big wedding. They plan on living with them afterwards and earning their keep by doing chores.

“”Marriage used to be the first step into adulthood,” says Johns Hopkins sociologist Andrew Cherlin. “Now it’s the last.””

It’s sad, but true.

Amen to that! It is disgusting how so many idiots get so much while the hard working and diciplined have to pay for it.

“My husband’s an engineer, he’s brilliant, and we’ll be able to afford me raising the kids without many sacrifices.”

Congratulations. I have a boyfriend who is an engineer. He was apprenticed and is now a full time engineer. As for being a programmer, I see we have that in common because I’m running my own online business and it is mainly programming because it is a website, called “Business Links”.
