I moved from Jackson last year, and I'm glad I got out when I did. It seems the Jackson police department is imploding, the streets are going to pot, and crime is going up. All the while, Frank has been going on raids to show how tough a guy he is.
I really liked Frank when he was Manager of WLBT-TV 3. He would have some really tough commentaries against crime, and call some of the crooks out.
However, he doesn't realize there's more to being a mayor besides dressing up in a SWAT suit, brandishing a weapon, and playing policeman at crack houses.
One theory is is that he's in a turf war with other gang bangers, and he simply has the political clout behind him to win it.
as always, democrats consider themselves above the laws that they pass for the rest of us chickens. as the saying goes, if you control guns, only criminals and democrats will have them. (the perpetual one-finger salute to the democrats, always.) (rather; make that thieving, hateful, intolerant, bigoted, christian-hating, bolshevik democrats)
(change that; make it arrogant, thieving, hateful, intolerant, bigoted, christian-hating, islamo-fascist loving bolshevik democrats)
(forgot murdering hyenas) (no offense to hyenas)
Rosie had bodyguards protecting her children, but she was never caught with a weapon.
She's still a huge hypocrite.
No, I commented on this article. I did not condone anything he has done, short of what is in this article. He may very well be booted for having a crack-house torn down. Speaks volumes, IMO.
And you know the status-quo even more corrupt Dem machine around here is out to get him and THAT is what THIS article is about.
Also being a member if an "anti-illegal gun" organization does not make one "anti-gun". Had the guy been a republican, the first 20 posts would have been pointing that out.
Yep, it's so bad in Jackson, I have to actually support the current mayor, and I don't much disagree with your assesment of him. It matters not though. The wife and I have had enough of "Little Detroit". Our employment ends in March and we are gone.
Exactly. They don't want anyone to have firearms...except them and their people. That idea is an order of magnitude more scary than any firearm.
i do understand why people would vote against the harvey johnson machine. crime is a huge issue in jackson, and it cannot be understated. having city council members owning crack houses (stokes) is not a good indicator of city health.
i lived on fortification street for 7 years, among other places. it was pretty grim when I left.
And this same mayor belongs to the Bloomberg Anti Gun Mayors Coalition.
