The idiot lawyers that make up the Anti-Christian Lunacy Union (moniker courtesy of William Buckley) do not see or suffer the consequences of their ideas.
A little education is in order.
Round up all of the wetbacks and dump them in the neighborhoods where the ACLU lawyers live and see how they like it.
Pull up a chair, pop some popcorn and watch the fun.
In other words, the truth hurts.
If you have numbers to prove your claim has any basis in reality Id love to see them. Or do you just "feel" that its true?
Given the rhetoric I saw on FR before the election, I think my hunch is correct.
"Uh no Kimberly, you are on the ACLU side, with your slash and burn tactics towards the GOP.
You made your bed, now you have to lie in it.
Me I have a clear conscience, since I in no way helped nancy/ACLU gain power."
Lest you've forgotten Dane, I voted straight R and never encouraged otherwise. Not because I think the pro-OBL R. politicos deserved my vote, but because I knew that if they lost majority, it would make fighting the OBL even more difficult. I knew that Bush would have and now has the support of the Dimocrats, the ACLU, and 'Bush can do no wrong' Republicans like you.
Had you all rejected Bush's support of the OBL, instead of supporting him on this issue and encouraging him to push CIR, perhaps he would have gotten a clue and waited until after such a critical election year. But no, he risked everything for the OBL, effectively dividing the party. A united party rejecting that agenda, with or without Bush, could have pressured our representatives, such that we would NOT have lost majority.
Personally Dane, I'd like to know WHY you support this agenda? Are you really for the OBL or a blind follower and just for anything Bush is for? Which is it?
"Believe it or not, Dane is actually right on this one, IMO. Give him some credit."
I disagree. See my post #67. Whether Dane supports the OBL or simply refuses to part with Bush on any issue, he is not right, he is wrong. We elected Bush, we don't serve him, he serves us. Bush has had and does have my full support on most things, but that doesn't mean if he jumps off the OBL cliff, I'm going to follow. The security and sovereignty of this country is more important to me than blind loyalty inspite of the truth. I'd rather Dane and others acknowledge that they fully support the OBL than to admit the latter.
Oh please Bush was on the correct side of the debate, a guest worker program, with no real ctizenship guarantees, but that was dismissed as "amnesty" by the loudmouth crowd, and then the loudmouth found willing media accomplices(such as now nancy pelosi lover lou dobbs) to gin up and amplify the foaming at the mouth rhetoric, much to the giddy of people like Tom Tancredo.
The result a nancy pelosi democrat congress, where the American people rejected loudmouths(such as J.D. Hayworth) but in the case of Arizona, supported overwhelmingly the passage of such common sense referendums such as English as the official language, etc.etc. The American people rejectecd the loudmoth Tancredo rhetoric.
Now with nancy in charge because of your slash and burn tactics towards the GOP, your alls agenda is kaput.
Presicdent Bush offered an olive branch to you all, but you all rejected it, and now you have nancy as Speaker.
Like I said before you all made your bed, now lie in it.
JMO, Kimberly maybe you should pick up a copy of Dale Carnegie's book. Heck I'll even give you a copy as a Christmas present.
Thanks for that lovely spin on the truth Dane. 'Earned citizenship' IS amnesty and I am no more fooled by the semantics than you are. Now be honest and answer my question and I'll surprise you with a book exchange! Do you support the OBL or are you just, out of some strange loyalty, blindly supporting Bush on this?
What spin? Voters in Arizona supported such things as English as the official govt. language, but rejected loudmouths such as J.D. Hayowrth. There is a lesson there.
President Bush knows that lesson, you do not.
This ACLU is easy to defeat, by requiring that EVERYONE be subject to random stops to check ID. I would be happy to comply with this. Then everyone would quickly see how stupid it is NOT to profile, just as it is ridiculous to search old ladies in airports.
I like it. use the godless heathen anti-gun leftist tactics
on them.
