We abandoned our own principles and now we're reaping what we sowed.

Rick Santorum didn't abandon our principles.

You WHINOS abandoned him.

"Yep. We deserve the Democrats. We abandoned our own principles and now we're reaping what we sowed. Allow me to refresh everyone's memory as to what I'm talking about here... "

I hope that is a mouse in your pocket because I sure as heck don't deserve the Democrats. You just made my Congressman's (John Culberson) job much harder. Thank you! Pfffffftttt!

"We can't win a politically correct war when the other side has no such constraints on their actions. We deserved to lose the election because we abandoned the principles that brought us to control in 1994."

I deride the drama queens on here but I served in the Mideast for years prior to 9/11. This is one enemy you don't turn your back on--I know. They'll be here in this country after we cut and run in Iraq. They'll show us no such tender mercies as President Bush directed our generals do for them.

"WHINO" - that's cute. I supported Gingrich & Reagan way back when and they DELIVERED on the things they spoke about. I just want my party back on track as a real conservative party that thinks about Americans first, foremost, and always in everything they do. If I wanted an internationalist, anti-US sovereignty party I'd have voted....well, it doesn't really matter how I'd have voted and that's my point. There's no functional differences between the GOP and the Dummicrats on immigration, foreign trade, and internal terrorism (both parties play along with the ACLU political correctness crowd). And, sadly, the GOP has let the debt skyrocket. Sorry, I'm just not impressed. The party needs new leadership to bring conservatives back to support it in the next election. I hope that happens.
