You didn't mention, that everyone who has ever lived on this earth was/is a sinner....except one. Jesus was tempted as we are, but without sin.

I've had this talk with my kids, many times. :)

Just another cheesy college "professor" living on the public dime, working four hours a week, who thinks he has been elected judge of the universe. Pathetic. Good for her sticking by her guns and facing the guy down. Too bad they couldn't take her $9,000 out of his pay check.

It figures. A female sexual minority is essentially a nazi in imposing her views on others. These are the worst, the most shrill, the most mean and vindictive. No wonder Rush calls them feminazis.

Huh? Ms. Booker has not imposed her views, that homosexuals should not be able to adopt children, on anyone. She has fought for the right to hold that view against a male professor who said all in his class had to lobby their congresscritter to impose the view that homosexuals should have the right to adopt children.

Christians believe homosexuality is immoral because God condemns it as sin, not because of something the medical community or society subscribes to.

I've always liked the saying..."He who laughs last has the best laugh of all." Looks to me as if this young lady opened a really big can of "whupass" on that dipstick professor and got about ten pounds of his a$$ peeled off in the bargain.Way to go lady, keep it going.

Not all gay people belong to this "movement."

When the gay people of political power (relgious institustions included as in the case of Haggard) don't belong to this "movement", they risk having their lives destroyed by those who do.

Christians and others who believe that homosexuality is immoral and unhealthy need to realize that most of the medical community and much of society no longer believes this.

True Christians don't care what the "medical community and society" believe, only what God says in His Word.

Nor should they carry on as if they are about to be fed to the lions because their point of view is received with skepticism or a particle of hostility.

No one who reads the bible is surprised. However, the actions of this liberal professor go way beyond "skepticism or a particle of hostility". He tried to ruin this young lady's career before it even got started.

Brookner agreed to readily. The lesson wasn't really learned. She should have insisted on a few more things like a sensitivity course for all teachers and administrators, explicit guidelines to ensure 1st Amendment rights are respected, general review of teaching plans to ensure they meet the guidelines.

Apparently they didn't wish her the best until the lawsuit was filed.

For some, it takes a lawsuit to bring out the best in them.

I sense a "hostile environment" against "people of faith" at MSU.

Yes, it's almost as if the university is trying to quickly put this to bed so other things don't get exposed. Hmmm.

What's this "advocacy assignment" for political ends? Yank all federal funding, as well as their "edu" tax status.

Many were probably conservative, some probably liberal, but it was not something that ever came up in class.

And it shouldn't. Good teachers don't use their position to express their personal beliefs. Teachers not Preachers!

I'm glad I studied engineering, and then computer science, where the professors' personal opinions on a wide variety of subject were not something they generally shared with us or imposed on us. Many were probably conservative, some probably liberal, but it was not something that ever came up in class.

I can provide a bit of encouragement when it comes to conservatives and social work: my husband, a state employee who trains social workers (he's got an MSW/SSW himself), is in the final stages of becoming a professor of Social Work for a local Free Methodist college.

Social work used to be a form of Christian charity and outreach, but since the feds took it over en masse it's been stripped of anything smacking of Christianity.

There are efforts by Christian schools to train more social workers but its an uphill battle.

The ironic thing is that the student is studying to become a social worker. Yet the good Professor could not see past his own personal bias/agenda, and abused the power of his position. I studied science in college too, and found that the advocacy type professors were always in the so-called "social sciences."

To its credit, the university launched an investigation immediately after Emily's case was filed and has taken appropriate action against the professor

I missed it - was he "appropriately" fired so that he'll have to get a real job where tax payer funds aren't paying him to harass Christians?
