Does the ACLU know about this?
It just does not go with the image they have promoted.
Am hoping to take my CCD junior high students to see it when it comes out.
I guess, like America, we have all sorts who do strange things.
It looks promising.
Oscar Isaac as Joseph and Keisha Castle-Hughes as Mary.
Unless it is produced, written, and have Christian Actors I REFUSE to fork money over to HELLywood! I for one am NOT a sheeple who can easily be manipulated by their greed by using christianity to create a blockbuster flick before year's end! I refuse to give them that pleasure and HUGH bonuses!!
"If we don't support decent movies they won't make them."
Amen. That is why this one is being made. "The Passion" proved that we are out here. I am really only watching these kind of movies, and the animated ones (with my granddaughter).
I'm tired of the gore, filth and lies promoted by most Holywood movies.
>The last movie that I went to see was Gibson's Passion
Didn't you go see Facing The Giants? OMG! Go go go. It was absolutely uplifting and inspiring and amazing and there was NOTHING in it to offend even the youngest member of the family.
It took forEVER for it to come to New Hampshire, but it was so worth the wait.
It's okay to show this movie in a local theater as long as there is no Ten Commandments on the wall or in the lobby.
We went to see "One Night With The King" yesterday, which was wonderful, and saw the posters for "The Nativity." We are looking forward to seeing that, too.
is that 2nd Chronicles 7:14? love that verse.
Yes, it is. Thanks--I've updated my tag line. It came to me a few days ago--this is really what we need these days in the USA. It's the only way out of the mess we created for ourselves:
"... If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
Politicians aren't the answer, laws aren't the answer, money isn't the answer. Only God has the answer!
29Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. 31You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
34"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"
35The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. 36Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 37For nothing is impossible with God."
38"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.
End Bible Quote.
But from the trailer, Mary seems to be hearing Gabriel in her head, as if she was having a psychotic episode! I hate when they do this, and I've seen it in a number of films. The Word of God, as spoken to Moses, or Jesus, etc, seems like a faint whisper, or blowing breeze.... They make it seem as if a lunatic is hearing it. I don't like this at all.

Good point. I still want to see "A Night With the King" if it is still playing in my area.
