"A Woman's Concern is persuaded that the crass commercialization and distribution of birth control is demeaning to women, degrading of human sexuality and adverse to human health and happiness." This is going to drive the left crazy!

President George W. Bush has appointed a physician with close ties to the pro-life movement to supervise federal family-planning programs.Yes, but to hear many FReepers, Bush is a liberal. This must be just another dastardly liberal trap!

Some people like to be black and white on every single thing. I don't. And life is not black and white, no matter you would like it to be. I think Bush is an example of a moderate conservative. He has both 'liberal' and 'conservative' elements in his policies. On balance, he's more on conservative side.

I think Bush is an example of a moderate conservative. Agreed. He's done some things I disagree with strongly, but on defense, taxes, abortion policy and SCOTUS choices, the four biggies for me, I am very pleased.

I was NOT a big supporter of President Bush when he ran in 2000 --I still remembered Dad, and would have voted for Pat Buchanan if he had been on the ballot in Michigan. On the other hand, I think he has done most things right --this included.
The rest of the republicans...not so much.

Oh man...how do you get to that point? That man deserves a fair trial followed by a first class hanging.

Peoples' ideologies only look gray from a distance. Zoom in close enough and the individual elements are black or white, and frequently contradictory.
