Yesterday I had a hangnail because of global warming.

Glo-bull warming truly is the cause of all ills. Not.

I'm quite sure that it was global warming that caused me to lose my house keys last week.

But before evidence there comes indicators.

Do you mean omens? Are you a seer?

I'm thankful that we don't have much in the way of poisonous creatures in the UK.

Lucky you. Here in Texas, if it walks, crawls or flys, it's probably poisonous!

:-)

"The false widow spider, a relative of the black widow, bit Jason Fricker, 34, three times on the chest and stomach after it fell down the front of his shirt a week ago"

OUCH!!!

I hate spiders....... we have tarantulas and other critters here including the brown recluse which I haven't seen..thankfully!!

The tarantulas are ugly as heck but usually will back off if you scare them!!

A man spent three days in hospital after being bitten by a venomous spider now spreading across the country because of global warming.

Prove it

NOtice that the doctor commented that this was the first time he had seen it.

Oh I see...global warming's causing it. Well since global warming "might" be going to make southern Europe colder, I now think I might be beginning to understand why there are so many more polar bears roaming around on the beach near my house.

I had a spider fall into my shirt while I was UNDER A CAR working on a car creeper.

I got one teeny spider bite which no one noticed - but they did notice the black eye and gash across my face I gave myself trying to get my shirt off while stuffed under a 64 Valiant

Andy, you are bad!

I was shopping a couple of years ago at a store way up in the U.P. and a lady came up behind me and said I better be checking those bananas very carefully, her sister had taken home a big spider the week before in her bananas from that very store! I dropped my bananas and jumped back! Ever since, I have been parking far away from the banana racks and checking over my fruit really carefully. The bananas, I mean.

I'll take a black widow bite over a recluse any day.

We need more mantids. Spiders suck!

The stories that people have been telling about their experiences with those things are totally gruesome.

Spiders are really the things that make me shudder - especially when the legs are all spindly and out of proportion to the body - the tiny ones I don't mind.

I think the laundry spiders (as I call them) did a great job keeping the bitey flying insects out of the house this summer, but ewwww, they still scare me.
