If Rudy was the leader everyone makes him out to be, he'd have run against Hellary and be a US Senator now.

then maybe they should get out of the way and let the Libertarians or Constitution folks have a go at being the "conservative" party in the Duopoly. Yeah, that worked out so well last week, didn't it?

Perhaps he foresaw the total lack of support that comes from the RNC and Senate Committee for ANY REPUBLICAN who runs for the Senate from NY!

but he will not be moving on those issues, and my guess is that at some point he will restate his opinions and state that he is forgoing some of the more liberal feelings he has to unite the country and protect it through his 8 years....

I will never vote for Rudy, not even for dog catcher.
To: sauropod
I agree, and Newt would get my vote, but how does Newt compare to Guiliani on the WOT? Newts views on almost all issues are right in line with mine, but would he take a tough stance against the islamic threat?
To: Roccus
Hmmm - I think I was living in Westchester county at the time. That could explain it.

My point is this.....I listen to my friend say she doesn't like this or that about her job so she wants a new one, but the fact is there will be this or that about the new one after a while.......better to have someone with demonstrated core beliefs and a few items you don't care for than the beast...

I hope my fellow Freepers will stand with Rudy and not be swayed by the terrible lies that are about to come...
Keep your life preserver handy, cause the good ship Rudy took on water before it left the dock! GOP/RNC, no way, no how. BTW, which terrible "LIES" are you referring to? I've seen zip/zero/nada LIES, just his record. Blackbird.

****Add in McCain and Romney threads and I'd agree with you. ****
I concur but since this thread is just about Rudy, I didn't mention them.
BTW, a new thread just popped up -- NO TO RUDY

FR has completely gone to pot the folks here endorse a welfare statist who broke party ranks just to campaign for Mario Cuomo! Chuck Hagel (who was right all along on Iraq and solid on the free market) is a far better choice.
