Newt has a real intellect unlike that empty suit OBama..I watched a OBama speech on C-Span to see what all the MSM drooling was about what a fake, phoney fraud..if he is what passes for a rising political star we should skip elections and just have the editor for PEOPLE Magazine pick the President.

Most of our people will abandon the party for good.

Define "our people". Please.

I like Newt, bright and articulate, not sure about electability.

What's particularly ambiguous about his electability? I don't find it ambiguous at all. He isn't a credible national candidate and is unelectable even for statewide office in most fairly conservative states, let alone a national election.

What makes you unsure of this?

"Who are they asking?..."

Good question. I don't want any of those choices either. I especially do NOT want John McCain!!!

Newtie= pro animal rights, turning into and enviromentalgreenie, easily caved to Clinton, had some great ideas and NO follow through, vis-a-vis consequences, pushed neo-MARXIST/SOCIALIST third way book written by the Tolffers, and on and on and on.

Nope, Newt not only has NO chance of ever becoming president, but would NOT make a good one. His actions speak much louder than his words and I once was a gigantic fan of his.

RUDY is not a conservative period Bush looks like Reagan compared to him...Can you imagine what he would pick for federal judges? The next election will be about just how whacked out our federal judiciary will be for the next decade...

Yeah...your answer to everything FACTUAL. LOL

Uh, I was being dismissive. Unless you were proffering "Forget it!" as something "factual".

"LOL"

he can finesse it - it will be tough.

let's face it, no republican president would nominate an openly anti-abortion SCOTUS justice. it doesn't happen, we have to read between the lines on the nominee, and they dodge every senate question on the topic. we all know the game. Rudy can say he supports constitutional justices, with no abortion litmus test either way. and if Roe goes on constitutional grounds, abortion doesn't become illegal - it goes back to the states.

She is also adamant on the principles of the Second Amendment, an issue that happens to be my personal line in the sand.

Not to mention a powerful weapon in our psychological war against the Islamic extremists. A single, black, beautiful, & smart female running the most powerful nation in the world (The Great Satan in their book) is bound to cause many of the enemy ranks to suffer heart attacks and strokes! Thin their ranks! ;-)

Barbour could have all of the roll your sleeves up and get it done appeal that we need.

A stark contrast to blanco and nagin as well as the general Dem mantra

Rudy is also pro gay marriage, and anti second amendment.

And support for unlimited abortions has been declining for many years.

Beside the fact in a Realpolitik level Rudy mroe than likely can't win in NY against Hilliary in a presidential bid.

You are correct. I have been sounding the alarm about 08 since 2000. For a long time, everyone kept saying, it's too early...now...all of a sudden...it's not just not too early, but, we have 3 maybe 4 (if you include Frist) people capable of making a serious run. Not a consider leader among the lot. And as you say, it's a bit late. It is only 15 months from the first primaries/caucus.
