Baby Moon hubcap blinders for your horse? Foxtails to tie on to the horse's tail? Fuzzy Dice hanging from the roof of your buggy?

Ok, so life came here from outer space.
Meaning that it evolved somewhere else.
What's the difference?

"Many papers have been written about this phenomenon."

Hmmm.. Those look like spores from a lichen-forming algæ of the Trentepohlia genus to me.

OK, that is not off the top of my head, I read that here.

Assuming for a second that this IS extraterrestrial and it DOES NOT contain any DNA or RNA, then it would not be related to us in any measurable way.

I would put my money on lichen spores and bad testing on Louis and Kumars part.

If we are the result of alien dna, how come we have no traces of the dna of those little red boogers in our blood?

Dr Wickramasinghe thinks life could have originated in space

That shouldn't that unbelievable.

If there is a God and God created the universe, why wouldn't life also exist elsewhere or why wouldn't he have created it elsewhere first and brought it here afterwards?

Here's a thought: there have been mass extinctions of life every 250 million years on earth. The earth (along with the rest of our solar system) orbits the Milky Way every 250 million years or so. I believe that every time we pass through a certain position in our orbit around the Milky Way that we, our solar system, encounters many obstacles, i.e., other worlds, asteroids, meteors, comets, other solar systems. Some of those obstacles wreak havoc on our earth and on some other parts of our solar system. Hence, mass extinctions would be created by some of those obstacles crashing with our planet. But, it's possible that life exists in that part of our Milky Way and that's where our life came from. Also, every time an obstacle crashes with our planet, it will not only cause extinctions but may also bring to us new life forms.

That's my theory and I'm sticking with it. But, we'll know for sure in a few million years.

The late Sir Fred Hoyle and Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe have been the champions of "Panspermia", the idea that life on Earth originated on another planet.
They speculate that life was first brought here on the back of a comet. Over the last decade, Panspermia is being taken ever more seriously.

How ironic that scientists conclude that life came from outer space but when it's the Bible that tells us this, it's just a bunch of superstition.

The Bible also tells us about alternate dimensions, which is open to scientific speculation, but when you call it heaven and hell, well, that's all fairy tales.

Seems like the Bible was more ahead of its time than most scientists would care to admit.

Scientists in general have NOT concluded this, though many will accept that an extraterrestrial origin of life remains a faint possibility. An extremely tiny minority may hold it as the actual origin.

The bible story has nothing to do with this possibility. Further, the bible is not scientific, nor is it useful as a guide to scientific investigation or a source of scientific theories. The only overlap between the bible and science is in the field of archeology. The bible is not ahead of its time.

I don't know but the highest mountain in the U.S. (outside of Alaska), Mt. Whitney, here in California is named for him.
