I think what you might be seeing is the effect of the tremendous dust storms of darkness that are being loosed on this president and nation, obscuring the way, confusing even the president. I felt gut-punched by the end of the day on November 7, I saw the president acting like he'd been hit in the thinker as he gave his press conference on November 8, and as I see what the electorate of this nation loosed on us, the constant dem drone and shrieks (cries of A FAILED IRAQ!, INVESTIGATIONS PLANNED [fill in the blank for the subject du jour]!, etc.), plans to install dems at the head of committees who shouldn't even BE in Congress due to prior miscreant activities, plus the media in Full Attack Mode, I know Bush has got his hands full and he needs a clear head. I am praying for him more than ever.

I can't recall if I've ever seen you get one since I've been on FR...Jan 9, 06.
Have you gotten any before this one?

OK, who took the roses from the coffee table?????

I hate to be the one to break the news, but you have stumbled onto a conspiracy of the highest magnitude. One of the CEO's among the auto makers has an ongoing spat with the head of the American Florists' Union and the flowers were removed in deference to the man who was present. It was also reported that the WH florist was found hiding behind the holly in the winter garden while the CEO's were on the premises.

JK.

Yep! See #37. I had them on my homepage but they were all different sizes and I made a mess.

I removed them to put up election stuff. When I get the time to learn how to size them I will add them to my homepage again.

Now is the time he really needs us. If it's bad for him--and I wouldn't blame W if he was really mad at us (collectively) for voting everything he needs out of office, and possibly even subjecting him to impeachment hearings. I didn't vote that way, but so many did.

W needs our prayers now, more than ever. AND...the Good Lord writes most of the screenplay, remember. I'd be trusting in Him to make sure the various elements are in place to make sure America survives this well. He knows what He's doing, and W is a servant of the Lord. All will be well.

My advice: don't use any valuable energy watching the news--or being around negativity, just work on being the very best person you can, and we need to all pray for the very best for our Country.

Maybe I should stop coming to the Dose then. I don't have the same confidence in the President as I used to.

Excellent words, Nord.

I haven't been able to watch hardly any TV news -- it is so skewed and more so by the day.

I am expecting a turn-around in public opinion for this president, BEFORE he leaves office. And for his policies, being finally validated.

Today on the local news the oft-repeated chant was redelivered as it is every day, that Bush's policies in Iraq had failed. As a friend pointed out, "FAILED? They have a constitution, a new government, a legislative body, Saddam is deposed and sentenced to die. WHAT FAILURE?"

YES, they are GONE. I think the last time I saw them was when NancyP was in the oval office. She must have felt entitled, and swiped them. IT'S THE DEMS FAULT!!!!

"I'm really disappointed about Mel Martinez being RNC chair. It makes no sense whatsoever."

Actually, it makes perfect sense given the REALITIES of the 2006 vs 2004 election.

2004:2006 Comparison per REDSTATE.COM:

Swing groups took a swing against Republicans. Let's compare the full house exit poll numbers for certain constituencies in 2004 and 2006: Hispanic support of Ds went from +11 to +39. Indepedents support for Ds went from +3 to +18. Catholics went from not supporting Ds -1 to supporting Ds +11. And those who report "no religion" went from supporting Ds by +34 to +51 (although these are not generally a "swing group").

[FYI: The Hispanic and Catholic 'swing voters' overlap considerably and NO Republican will be elected President in 2008 without better support from both groups vis a vis 2006!]
http://redstate.com/

PERSPECTIVE:

President Bush is the leader of the Republican Party NOT Mel Martinez (or Ken Mehlman or Ed Gillespie) and as we move closer to the 2008 election the Republican nominee for President will become 'the face' of the Party!

RNC Chairs are basically responsible for fundraising and the development of TARGETTED constituency groups -- Mehlman tried with Blacks (a lost cause for at least another generation) and Martinez will focus on Hispanics and Catholics!
