Typical how you deflect the debate by falsely assuming what my positions are concerning hiring illegals.

The minimum wage debate is in relation to the hiring of illegals. As I previously stated, employers who hire illegals do not have to abide by the minimum wage law, or any other employee legalities for that matter. Therefore, since you're against the minimum wage, you should have no problem with employers who hire illegals in order to evade said law(s).

Nice try, but I don't hear anyone but you tying the minimum wage with illegal immigration.

The illegal day workers that are hired throughout the country demand and get more than the minimum wage because of market forces.

The minimum wage is for touchy feely individuals who have no clue about free market capitalism.

There's that "free" word again. Go tell it to the Americans who've lost their jobs, thanks to NAFTA and free trade globalism. It's obvious you could care less about those people. Capitalism is a wonderful thing, but it has been allowed to be severely abused, thanks to big business lobbyists and globalist politicians. I bet you're a Wal-Mart shopper. You could care less about where the crap you buy is made, since your only concern is how much it costs. And hey, the money Wal-Mart saves in screwing their employees out of overtime pay, low wages and medical benefits is passed on to you in the form of low, low prices! You may not be affected by globalism right now, but I hope to God one day that you are.

"Go tell it to the Americans who've lost their jobs, thanks to NAFTA and free trade globalism."

Have you seen the latest unemployment rates Tark?

We have virtual total employment in the US.

I don't know anyone without a job.

I'm sorry it doesn't fit into the "lets do as Europe does" school of economics.

However, I stand by my statement, that the person who posted my wife's personal information on this thread is an idiot

Click below for "report abuse".

That's not what I pointed out to you. You called ME the idiot on the post and I know nothing about you or your personal life, only about your trolling activities on the Savage thread.

I have never used this 'report abuse' option and don't plan to but if you yourself ignore the Free Republic disclaimer whenever YOU want to, isn't it a little hypocritical to then throw it at someone else doing the same thing?

Be that as it may I am deeply disappointed and saddened at the departure of one of our loyal infidels Roland Burnam and I take full responsibility for it as my own name-calling and insults particularly to you crossed the line and became more and more shrill.

This was Roland's last freepmail to me about the trolls;

From RolandBurnam | 11/06/2006 8:54:03 AM PST replied

sorry, I will try to comply. I tried to make only one reply and then one turned into two, etc. Sorry. You are right, if we all ignore them, they will go away.

But rather than ignore you trolls I selfishly chose to play the game of troll-smasher often crossing the 'Disclaimer' line which only encouraged others to do the same. But regretfully it's too little, too late to save RB but hopefully this will serve as a lesson to everyone else that we MUST learn to disagree with those we disagree with without resorting to infantile name-calling and insults.

I have reviewed all my posts to you since I went on my 'NIGHT WATCHMAN' schitk and I am now ashamed of how I responded to you with all the name-calling and insults, so much so that I have pinged the Savage Nation to witness that I am asking you to accept my apology for my outlandish behavior to you during this time.

It's okay if you don't but I just want my apology to be on public record. And no more 'Night Watchman' routines for me, it started out just for fun and games but I think I did begin to take it too seriously. Sorry Lormand, sorry JimRob, sorry Savage Nation infidels, sorry Roland. Over and out.

True, but let's take a look at what the decent paying jobs that are forever lost have been replaced with: Low-wage retail and food service jobs. Also, not everyone has the intellect to succeed in college and eventually acquire a good paying, white collar job.

But most of all, I couldn't be the owner/CEO of a large corporation and maximize my profits by not paying my employees a decent wage with no medical benefits of any kind. In other words, I have a conscience. But why should the wealthy suits in this country care? When our country is on the verge of disaster, they'll be the first a-holes to pack-up and leave for good. Speaking of an owner/chairman with a conscience, check out the following article:

Conscience In A Cup Of Coffee

I'm sorry it doesn't fit into the "lets do as Europe does" school of economics.

Let's see... The Europeans welcomed Arabs into their respective countries to be used for cheap labor, as our government has done with illegals. The Bible tells us that the love of money is the root of all evil, and I tend to agree to a certain point. It is definitely the root cause of the destruction and nationalistic identity of our once-great country.

" Also, not everyone has the intellect to succeed in college and eventually acquire a good paying, white collar job. "

I am proof that motivation trumps intellect when it comes to a college degree.

In 1988, I was a union employee who hated his job and could barely balance my checking account. One day I heard a talk radio guy named Rush claim that "this is America, you can achieve about anything you want", and the most memorable one was, "America needs more Engineers, not lawyers".

So, I risked everything, quit my job, persued and achieved a degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University. At the time, I hated math, and was horrified by the word "calculus". Other times I thought of quiting, especially the semesters I took 4 credits of Phyisics and Calculus.

It was hard work, but I did it, and anyone else can do it too. Listening to Weiner will keep one depressed and feeling defeated.

Well obviously you're a pretty intelligent guy, but I disagree with your statement that "anyone else can do it too." I've known people who are decent and hard-working, but could never have succeeded in college (if they even graduated from high school, that is).

Actually, it's probably a combination of a lack of intelligence, mixed with a lack of patience and/or determination. Besides, some people are just better suited for physical labor, and thank goodness we have people who are willing to fill those jobs.

Listening to Weiner will keep one depressed and feeling defeated.

I hope you're not directing that statement at me. ;-D I bet if you were to poll Savage listeners at random, many of them would tell you they're successful and happy in life. That's the opinion I have of the TSN thread regulars, and the radio callers as well. Let me end by saying that Savage is a realist, and many people do not like hearing the truth regarding the path to destruction our country is on. Let's see how you feel a decade or two from now.
