The article appears to be incomplete. How many people were killed by this bullet before Mr. Khan found it?

Since there would be no heavy firearm, the brass case would end up flying back faster. Yep. And it's capable of giving a good poke from a sharp edge...but you're right, it's the part that would pick up velocity.

That is a Long Rifle not a Short
I need to dig out my camera and take a picture of a 177 pellet and a BB to really frighten these losers.

Aw, geez, a
.22 short - what my dad would call a "mouse gun" - and they're all having a hissy fit and the vapors.
. . . they'd have a collective stroke out if they looked in the bottom of my tote bag. Here, ya buncha Limey sissies, hold THIS:

They would have a freakin' major cardiac episode if they peeked around my residence.
Ammo? Lots.
Calibers? Several.
Things to put them in to make them go BANG? Lots.
Better me than a little English kid. :~}

I was just stating facts. Yes those upset over a 22 cartridge are silly and a joke. But as a hunter safety instructor for over 20 years I didn't want some to think a 22 is a toy that wouldn't kill someone. It will.

Coincidently, the Mythbusters episode regarding the good 'ol boys in Arkansas that (supposedly) used a .22 as a fuse in a pickup truck was on TV last night. The wiring burnt before the round went off. They had to use a heavier gauge wire to make it go off. Even then, the shell casing did more damage, (embedding itself in a rubber floor mat), than the bullet, which pierced the clothes of the dummy, Buster, but would not have broken the skin.

Wow, it's a good thing that this highly knowledgeable (just kidding) British gun owner found that 22 round before it decided to go on a wild rampage and kill hundreds of people.
Maybe the Brits should ban automobiles, too. You never know when one might crank itself up and run over innocent citizens. (or are they subjects ?)

your friend probably has greater stock pile of weapons and ammo than the entire police force of GB.
