I wonder how perky Katie is when the camera is off. I think you might have to change the spelling of perky, off-camera...

If a frog had side pockets he'd carry a remote control and turn the Katie off.

Given CBS's credibility its a wonder any one watches at all. They should change the name "CBS Evening News" to "CBS News We Want You to Believe". I call it the the "CBS Evening News from a Broad"

I have two daughters, one is 20 and the other 18. Growing up their favorite shows were I love Lucy and Golden Girls. I always found that odd and satisfying at the same time.

Dan Rather is dancing in the streets. As Dan would say about SeeBS battling the others in the race for the lowest ratings:
"This race is tight like a too-small bathing suit on a too-long ride home from the beach."
or
"This race is as tight as the rusted lug nuts on a '55 Ford."

What's that old Billy Preston song? ... hehe
Nothin' from nothin' leaves nothin'
You gotta have somethin' if you wanna be with me
Nothin' from nothin' leaves nothin'
You gotta have somethin' if you wanna be with me
I'm not tryin' to be your hero
'Cause that zero is too cold for me, Brrr
I'm not tryin' to be your highness
'Cause that minus is too low to see, yeah
Nothin' from nothin' leaves nothin'
And I'm not stuffin', believe you me
Don't you remember I told ya
I'm a soldier in the war on poverty, yeah
You gotta have somethin' if you wanna be with me
You gotta bring me somethin' girl, if you wanna be with me

If they turn off the TV in the CBS waiting room, the audience will be cut in half.

Katie Couric was a step up from Bozo the clown, but that's it.

I think a baboon behind the desk would get higher ratings.

Listen, if Bozo said the sun comes up in the east and the sky is blue I'd believe him. If Katie or any c.bs. news person said water is wet, I'd check the facts.

Not that I watch CBS News or any other network nightly news, but Bob Schieffer always struck me as a class act. He at least seemed like a professional journalist, and was a welcome antidote to the increasingly bizarre Dan Rather - if Schieffer was willing to keep doing the job, CBS was nuts to let him go. Katie Couric comes across as a frivolous, high-demand ninny, not someone to be taken seriously - network nightly news is a dying journalistic form, and she isn't going to prolong the death throes.

It's time to show the legs, Katie! Legs, heck.
I think it's time to shove another camera up her rear end.

"CBS EVENING NEWS DOWN OVER YEAR AGO (Katie losing audience - is that even possible?)"It couldn't have happened to a nicer but more biased BIMBO!
The only question left is "How much longer will CBS put up with smiling but stupid Lefty"?
