I will never put a social issue over the safety of this Country when I vote for someone. If you don't like it fine, but I don't apologize for believing the #1 priority for this Nation to survive is having a President that will stand up to our enemies that want to destroy us. In addition to being for aa strong defense, law and order, and closed borders, Rudy is for smaller government, lower taxes, appointment of strict constitutionalist judges, but most importantly he stands tall in taking the fight to those that want to destroy us.

That noise you hear is the sound of my applause.
Good job, PKM.

We have at least another 18 months to come up with a candidate that will appeal to all segments of the Republican Party. You Giuliani fanatics are creating a very hostile environment on a conservative forum, FreeRepublic. You are not helping your candidate by trying to force a liberal down the throats of a strongly conservative group.

Well, then I guess we definitely don't want him as our candidate, even though, him being a conservative, he'd be a good one. The media has so demonized him. I have not seen anyone that I would vote for right now.

You, Hillery,McCain and Rudolph are on patrol in a hostile area.If the patrol was going to be attacked, which one would you choose to be team leader ?

A.Hillery
B.McCain
C.Rudolph

A. Hillery
Hillery would would blame the higher ups who ordered the patrol as being misled by negligent intelligence officers who all happened to be volunteers aka patriots.

B.McCain would play dead then emerge as the only surviving member of the squad and upon returning home, run for Dog Catcher, and grab the sympathy vote.

C.Rudolph -Giuliani would identify the enemy, call for back up and politly but firmly request a delivery of heavy rain.

You hurt my iddy biddy feewings. It took until my 3rd marriage to find the right man.

'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

He's not the right man. he's a dog just like the rest of us. (smile). Make sure you train him right, that he's got more cash to lose in the divorce, and that you and your children don't get hurt. Trust but verify!

Dear justshutupandtakeit,

"It is the law which made that determination in Conner's case not his mother."

No, that's not right at all.

Scott Peterson murdered Laci Peterson, and also murdered the unborn Conner Peterson. He was prosecuted for the murder of Conner because he didn't have the permission of Laci Peterson to murder Conner.

If Conner's mother had chosen to murder Conner, Conner would have been completely unprotected by law. A man would have been able to chop up Conner, and even sell the parts, and having received Conner's mother's permission, and even payment, for the deed, it would have been entirely legal.

However, because Conner's mother chose otherwise, when a man decided to kill Conner, he was prosecuted for the deed.

It was the choice of Conner's mother that determined whether someone would be prosecuted for killing Conner.

The law recognized as paramount Mrs. Peterson's interest in her unborn child, not any intrinsic right to be protected from murder on the part of the child.

"A zygote isn't a 'baby'."

I thought we were talking about the Peterson case? Mrs. Peterson was quite a bit farther along in her pregnancy than to refer to her baby still as a zygote. And if we're not going to give the status of "baby" to unborn babies, then it's sadly and bitterly ironic that we're addressing Mrs. Peterson's unborn [non-]baby with his first name, Conner.

In any case, a zygote is a human being. Genetically unique, self-directing and self-ordering, the term "zygote" is applied to a very small human being developing from conception. This very small human being will develop along a path from conception to natural death, all entirely self-directed and self-ordering, as a distinct, individual member of the human species, needing only appropriate environment and nourishment.

"Zygote" is just a word to describe a stage of development through which a human being goes. Folks may also call the same human being later on a "fetus" and then perhaps an "infant," a "toddler," a "boy" or "girl," a "pre-teen," a "frankenstein's monst--- " er, uh,..., a "teenager," a "young adult," an "adult," a "middle-ager," and perhaps finally, a "senior." Same person. Same human being. Different stages of development.

However, that gets a bit off-track. My tagline is about the recognition of rights in law of unborn children. As long as Roe stands, that can't happen.

You're right...I don't think that we will ever have another Ronald Reagan. He was one of a kind.

But, I want a Republican in the White House. A Republican that is strong on defense. A Republican that can get swing voters. After this last election, we've seen how important they are.
I do not think Newt is that guy. I do think Rudy is.

I am also anti-abortion, but I think that the challenges facing this nation right now in terms of foreign policy dictate that we must nominate the very best candidate in terms of 'electability' in a 50-state election. Now I'm not sure if that's Rudy....it may be, it may not be. But I will do virtually anything short of actual violence to prevent the Democratic Party from gaining access to our National Defense at a time where our nation faces its gravest threat since World War II.

Absolutely!

Hogwash. You moderates have killed the party.

That's funny. To many I'm a right-wing conservative!

I am more moderate than many here, yes.
I will not vote on a single issue---Abortion. I would never choose it for myself or my daughters, but I also feel I cannot make that decision for others.

I am an adoptive mom of two, and I am pro-life. I wish everyone was, but they're not ...and sometimes, I think the Conservatives here live in a bubble.

We need to candidate who is electable, who can win. When election time draws closer, we will see who our true possibilities are. Right now, I think Rudy is a front-runner.

I know you're just being facetious, but let me tell you something: there is NOTHING on the planet finer than a gentleman.

I know. I married one, 21 years ago.

It has never been that way. People need to study a little political history.

Not one of those on the planes entered this country illegally. EVERY ONE came legally.

What we know as illegal aliens are the least likely to be part of any sophiscated terrorist plot. Planners very carefully and purposely choose terrorists who would have NO problem entering legally.

Rudy was responsible for policies which DRASTICALLY lowered NYC's crime rate.

I haven't claimed Rudy would be better than a "conservative" at fighting terror what I have claimed is that there isn't a "conservative" on the horizon capable of beating him or Hillary later on. They fall into the "Who Is That?" catagory. Either that or the equally ineffective "You Have to be Kidding!" catagory.

Illinois can give lessons to the Nation in stupidity. And only Louisiana and New Jersey can compare in political corruption.

It is absolute nonsense to claim Bush was not conservative enough. There was NO candidate more conservative than he who had the slightest chance to win the nomination in 2000.
There was NO Senator (except possibly Santorum) more conservative, NO Governor more conservative.

In fact, there are only a TINY handful of politicians ANYWHERE in the Nation more conservative. You are spreading delusion.

All but two were here illegally. They overstayed their visas making them illegal aliens. The leader, Ata, was stopped by a state trooper a week before the attack. He should have been arrested and deported right then. But liberals don't let cops check to see if someone is legal.

Nobody who declares their city a refuge for illegal aliens is serious about the country's security.

What a wuss. I am certainly no "fanatic" merely an objective observer of the political scene. It is precisely the fanatics who are hyperventilating and attacking those who do not hate Guiliani.

And only a wuss would claim there is any "shoving down the throat" of ANYONE who does not join the lynch mob.

Any "hostility" is coming from the faux conservatives trying to elevate the fringe into the majority.
