Had this been done nationwide a month before the election I think we would still have the majority in both Houses.

Opponents of the proposal fear that Cintas may be setting a trend that other employers could follow.

One can only hope...

There's a very simple solution to this,'' he[Cintas spokesman Wade Gates] said.

Si.

Fire and deport them.

"...setting a trend that other employers could follow..."
Pure BS: these laws have been in the books forever!

All employers SHOULD have done this already.

Finally 'cheap' labor doesn't sound that cheap anymore, that is why they are acting on it.

It was time, before I can no longer afford health insurance... wait, I can't, haven't for a few years BECAUSE the free-ride the illegals get!

It's okay, my family couldn't afford medical insurance either. Sucks that my mom's death could have been prevented by proper medication and care (which we could not afford).

Yet, the illegals always got a free ride...

It seems that U.S. citizenship has little value in this age, except the right to be shaken in order to pay the bills.

I would like to say something shocking to show you all how far off center this whole invasion debate has taken us. Its going to sound foreign and unimaginable. Get ready now....

GO HOME!!!!

Your account is sad and was so preventable. I am sorry.

I WAS illegal once for a short while I must admit (1970).
I needed medical care, but in those days WE paid cash for it, it was a 'code of honor' if you will: we didn't dare to milk the system that gave us jobs. Me and my buddies NEVER used the system, EVER. We paid cash for all our medical care and stayed out of trouble at all cost.

Different time, different mindset, different principles I guess.

If anything, it's the US government that's encouraged the free ride since that time.

Yup.

Actually the US encouraged illegals back then (you could get a SS card with ANY foreign ID); interesting fact is that the SS file was flagged even then, just the 'not able to work' status was ignored (I happend to stumble on some details).

Now you have leftist forces embracing this mess and supporting social services (that was unheard of back then).

Some days I wonder what happened to the US I became part of.

Gosh, it sounds an awful lot like that there union doesn't care if Cintas is a law abiding business.

"Had this been done nationwide a month before the election I think we would still have the majority in both Houses."

I expect the President could have issued an Executive Order for all employers to use this method and system. Any time, after he took office in 2001.

That would have eased opposition to his Immigration concepts, and would have given his party a big boost.

Any sitting legislator could introuce such a bill.

If any of them had wanted to--Republican or democrat. But didn't.

Establishing the NAU was considered more important to the global economy promoters, I guess. The fact they all took Oaths of Office on the Bible that said they would protect America from invasions didn't carry much weight when compared to retaining their status and shining powerchairs.

I was wondering why Cintas went on a sudden hiring spree in the Chicago area. Perhaps this explains it.
