Picky, picky.

Anyway, it looks fascinating. And if marron contributed to it, that's another point in its favor with me. I bookmarked a lovely composition of his: Mom, Apple Pie, and the Ghost of Quagmires Past and post links to it from time to time in reference to Vietnam.

What is “randomness?”
OK, I'll bite - What is “randomness?” Other than a word for something I can't predict scientifically? If I know the half-life of an isotope, I know how to predict what percentage of an initial set of atoms of that isotope will have decayed in a given length of time.

But which atoms of that isotope will have decayed, and which will not have decayed, at the end of that length of time? I have no clue. Other than that the spatial distribution of those atoms which will have decayed is unlikely to be segregated from the spatial distribution of those atoms which will not have decayed. Which is simply the clue of no clue - the impossibility of predicting in advance which of those atoms will decay before which of the others.

Isn't "chance" the name of a Roman god?

Publishing Consultation

Have a manuscript completed but don't know how to get it published? (I hate to say this, but you've already taken the wrong approach. But all's not lost)! Considering my ghostwriting services but want to know what your options are when it's completed. Don't know whether or not you should court a traditional publisher, self-publish, turn to a print-on-demand (P.O.D) facility, need an agent (or not)?

Basic Service: I'll help you understand the publishing jungle and present your publishing options so you can make a rock-solid decision on which course might be best for you.

$100 per hour. Expect a 1 to 2 hour consultation. If you want to get published, this will be the best money you've ever spent from an author who has utilized all the publishing options.

In the book, "The Road Less Traveled" by Scott Peck he has a very large section that in the latter part of the book where he puts forth a very interesting view about God, Science and other issues that we all care about.

It is well worth the time to read.

Hello all! So good to see you, and thank you so very much for your kind words regarding Alamo-Girl's and my publishing project. We just wanted to let you know that we are officially "published," and the book can be ordered in time for Christmas from the following link:

http://www.lulu.com/content/549874

Please note our book is not yet in widespread commercial distribution, which we couldn't arrange for prior to January. Once we are in distribution via the majors such as Amazon.com, we expect the book's price will be discounted. So if you don't want/need to purchase the book for Christmas, best to wait till next month for better pricing.

However, A-G and I will say this: Any book purchased directly through Lulu Press will see a portion of the net proceeds contributed to a certain distinguished public-purpose organization near and dear to our hearts. And that will ever be the case, WRT direct purchases from Lulu Press, even after we're up at Amazon, et al.

Again, thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement and your support!

Thank you for this work. People are hungry for the meaning and purpose, for a reaffirmation of a worldview that provides a rational basis for the very axioms on which science rests.
