Thanks....

Giuliani, I like. McCain, I despise. If the Republican party gives me McCain as the choice, I honestly don't know what I'll do. Not because of his politics.....because of him personally.

Question for Schwarzenegger: With no Republicans in California in Executive offices (I'm not counting Schwarzenegger and liberal Poisner), with people like McClintock rejected, and the state legislature overly dominated by Democrats, exactly where does this "center" lie?

"I guess you want another "thumping" of the Republicans in 208, President Hillary, and eternal Dem rule, instead of doing what it takes to WIN."

Gee whiz, get a grip. The democrats barely eeked out a win in a 6th year election, and you're ready to jetison the whole conservative agenda. Newsflash: It's going to be a leaner, meaner, more conservative Republican party in 2008 (with the possible exception of the top of the ticket, unfortunately) and the House will be ours again. Pelosi, Rangel and company are not going to play well in middle America. People have forgotten what the democrats are all about, but they're about to find out again.

Well, they didn't exactly adore him in this past election. Most of his colleagues asked him to stay out of the race and let Lamont win.

Of course, now that he is the one vote keeping the Democrats in control of the Senate, old Joe suddenly has a lot of friends. Harry Reid is wearing out his kneepads these days.

If you hang around Internet slums like Daily Kos and DU, you'll see that nearly half of his party dislikes him intensely.

Didn't you know that Arnold is the center of the universe?

Pelosi won, because the Dems gained control of the House.

And you think that further abandoning principles will win it back? Other than winning, what exactly DO you believe in? What is your vision for the Republican Platform of 2008? Why don't you go off and form a Centrists Party and leave Conservatives to the horrible fate we are doomed to without Arnold's and your advice? Maybe you can call yourselves the NeoWhigs.

LOL -- I never check those sites, so I will happily take your word.

They would have much preferred Ned Lamont, but Joe has been welcomed back with open arms by his fellow democrat senators.

His methods only make sense if the rest of the country is as crazy as Calif. Luckily, not all of the other 49 states are carbon copies of this Fruitopia.

Trouble with that is, the center keeps going leftward with the Donks.

See my post 42.

And No--at least not by that big a margin.

Hillary is a Soros puppet.

Arnold is a Kennedy puppet.

Thus both are New World Order drones, in the big picture.

In a strictly lesser-of-two-evils dichotomy, I would indeed prefer Arnold over Hillary, However, I value our Constitution, therefore I will INSIST, work, hope and pray for a better candidate and president.

You have a lot of gall to post this FO, especially after hiding all day from threads demonstrating Arnold's post-election backstabbing.

After courting Democrats and hogging money he didn't need against a weak candidate while stiffing the rest of the GOP candidates he wants conservatives to follow him?

Go to hell Arnold.

We can have half a loaf, or we can have nothing, and worse than nothing. I guess many here seem to not only prefer the worse than nothing.

I worry about that. I'm seeing all these posts since the election of people saying we need to have more people like Giuliani or Schwarzenegger. With too few exceptions, I can't see much difference between those politicians' core principles and those of Chafee.

If that is the direction that FREEPERS want to turn the party, what's the chance of getting Libby Dole to start handpicking Conservatives to run for the Senate instead of more Rinos?
