"Well thank god we showed the republicans who is boss and booted out the one body that was attempting to stop this BS..."
They did not stop squat...they just slowed it down.
You make no sense... but regardless even if I give you that let say "thank god we showed the republicans who is boss and booted out the one body that was slowing down this BS...
Does that make you feel better?

Well, we'll just have to remember this come the next Presidential election, when our choice is between someone beholden to Big Business's hunger for cheap labor, and someone else beholden to Big Business's hunger for cheap labor. It'd be nice if there was a third choice, but that would interfere with the chances of our preferred candidate beholden to Big Business's hunger for cheap labor getting elected.

"After their meeting -- the first between the two -- Bush told reporters, " I assured the president-elect that the words I said . . . about a comprehensive immigration vision are words that I still believe strongly."
Oh yeah, any Bushbots still around to sing praise??

I agree and he is no longer our Party leader either. A great Commander in Chief, a lousy Pub for this election cycle.

You have a point - Bush did not waste any time - just a few days after the Democrats are in power, he's working on all of the liberal Mexico/amnesty/immigration-loving stuff he's been talking about since he was Governor.
This just proves though, that we, the true Conservatives, need to take back control of our party, otherwise we will keep getting this same crap from Republicans.
The problem is, a lot of the big money in the GOP comes from the country club RINOs. How to defeat that? I don't know. We need to get Conservative candidates at all levels prepping for 2008 and 2010 though, and they need to be as independent of the current GOP leadership as possible - the fewer ties to George and his father's administrations as possible.

They are pretty scarce around FR these days - maybe they are sitting in the corner, quietly weeping, wondering why Conservatives are getting fed up with the way the GOP and its leadership has been moving.
Maybe this should be a vanity post, but I have posted several times that this is our chance to kick the RINOs out and reshape the party and where it's headed, which is a 180 from where Bush, Rove, Perry in Texas, Snowe in Maine, etc., are wanting to take it.
I think FR is the perfect place for us to work from - JR is one of the most Conservative people I know, and the infrastructure here is in place - Conservatives from all over the US talk at both state and national levels, and local FReeper gatherings are frequent.
We've got a year in which we can hash out a plan on how to do so - on finding the right candidates to take on incumbent RINOs, as well as to challenge Democrats.

Here's the kicker, I had enough goods on Harry Reid to raise a big stink, but they were all too busy defending Jefferson and with their GOTV to care.
