Out coached. Is that what happened? How was he to ever overcome the incessant bashing. Enron, Halliburton, Yellow cake, Katrina, Plame-gate, gas prices, lack of flu vaccine, remember that phony story, and the list goes on.

How the President kept his sanity is beyond me.

Do we have no responsibility in this loss?

Do we praise those who continuously stomped on the President from every turn. Life is neither fair, nor easy. We do what we have to do even if we personally do not gain. There are actually things bigger than ourselves in this world.

How will the public see thru the constant endless praise of the MSM. The dems will never be responsible for any of their actions, no matter how poorly they turn out.

Yes the "Republican" Pork Slobs. They put him in a no win position. If he vetoed them he would have been vetoing his own party, great fodder for the Dims at election time. They deserve all the contempt and the losses they got.

Hastert even looked and acted like a feckless Pork Slob.

Now it remains to be seen if Dubya has the rocks to get out the veto pen.

We use the soapbox and then the ballot box. Its time to go on the attack, fellow Freepers. I think the biggest mistake that W and crew made was to try being aloof and above the fray. W kept being polite and presidential when he should have been tearing the dims a new one. Its now up to us to do the tearing. We, as a group, failed. I vow to renew and increase my efforts for the 2008 election. My hot button is vote fraud. I may end up spending some time in Philly or St. Louis before November 2008.

I hate to correct you, but he was blasted from the get go in 2000 --- the election he swiped thanks to SCOTUS --- with only a brief intermission after 9/11.
