Funny.
last time they voted, the SENATE voted 99-0 to reject Kyoto restrictions on the US economy.
I winder if she still wants to throw us back to 80% (1990-levels) of jobs and energy use.
Well, I KNOW she wants to throw us back to the Stone Age, but only if a repubbie is president.

What? From Bush? From the man who would'nt dump Rumsfeld at a time in which it would have saved the election for the GOP? Really and have the demoicrats crowing for the months before the election. If he would have dumped Rumsfeld months ago, there probably have been more GOP losess.
Also Bush has used his veto pen once. It was with a stem cells bill.

Heath Schuler, a good-ole boy like me....has a pickup and an gun..... But he is ranked 435th in seniority....and must obey the whip or get outcast and all the leadership in the RAT party is Stalinist.
Listen...he could use his superior intellect or use the leadership experience he had as a Super Bowl winning and successful quarterback to convince the libs ....... er...... that's Heath Schuler.....never mind.

Vote in a "moderate" or "conservative" Democrat and you get Liberals in control. The nightmare begins....
Succinct summary of the truth.

From the article:
''That's like a tsunami hit the committee..."
Tsunamis are OK, I guess.
================
President Bush has opposed a federal mandate to limit greenhouse gas emissions from industry and automobiles, saying such steps should be voluntary.
Don't think there's going to be much that's voluntary for a while.

This global warming stuff is such a crock. Guess we'll never take out Iran's nuclear facilities now. Doing so might save millions of lives, but oh my, the environment! I guess these global warming nuts foresee a world dominated by Islamofascists as "cool".

I detect a wee hint of sarcasm there.
Conservative Democrats are no longer around. They left with Zell Miller. These (Blue Dog) Democrats are liberals in the moderate vain. Their votes will be along Democrat lines but they will address some social issues along Conservative lines.
Remember, voting for an anti-abortion amendment or a marriage amendment is a throw away because it gets overturned in the courts. And with Dems running committees now don't plan on seeing another Alito or Roberts on the bench.
Think of it this way. Everyone to the left of Dick Cheney is a Democrat.

Your in fantasy land chum. If Rumsfeld would have been removed prior to elections we certainly would have retained many of the seats we lost in the house AS WELL as would have retained the majority in the senate. Not that I dont like Rummie, but the man was a lightning rod.
Rest assured...they'll ask for a Cheney resignation next. But it doesnt matter now does it? Or does it? Maybe Bush'll cave concerning Cheney and really become a moderate democrat.
BTW..Oh yes I forgot about the stem cell bill..BFnD!

I also hope that you are right, but alas I fear he will let us down.

I fear you are right.
However, Bush could do wonders for the Republican party & conservatives if he WOULD start vetoing the garbage that will come out of Congress.
He has the chance to define us as opposed to big government, cowardice and the nanny state - but will he?
