Whenever these cycles swing around to the anti-gun ownership goons in power I always smile and fall back on the concept .....
....that they have to come get them.
...and it make my day a bit brighter.

Remember Waco.
They will come with a lot more firepower than you or I have.

Boy, the MSM is in full gloat mode this morning. I thought it was just a routine 6th year mid term election result. Silly me, I guess it means everybody just LOVES the democrat agenda.

Called the wife at work and placed an order.I plan on doing some target practice to blow off some steam.I was hoping as I went to sleep last night,I would wake up with the Christmas morning feeling.Instead,I was awoken by a friend to give me the good news on the election results.Talk about a ruined day!I drove eight hours from a doctors office and at times, exceeded the speed limit so I could vote.Made it by five minutes!I now wonder if a potential speeding ticket would have been worth it.At least I tried!

Couldn't we also look at from the point that Democrats did not even mention gun control that I heard about? It seems that many of the Dems that won last night are for guns or am I mistaken? I would hope that the Democrats have learned their lesson about trying to take people's guns, but I could be wrong....

All I had to choose from was Lott and Wicker, who both won by wide margins. So I didn't help impact much myself.

The dems know that talking about seizing guns is a loosing issue. It wasn't mentioned one way or another by anyone, but that just means the dems didn't have to lie.

Yep, historical average on mid term swing is 30 seats. This was not a 'sweeping' win as it is being portrayed. Not that I like it but it is NOT the end of the world.
Some FReepers here need to take a chill pill and get on with life. We can turn it around. We've done it before, we can do it again.

I think they might try to revive the assault weapons ban, but I doubt they will try for anything more than that until they have a democrat in the white house. They realize any mention of gun control fires up the republican base and Hillary's got to play the part of the moderate until 2008

In the wake of the NRA's electoral defeat, Violence Policy Center Legislative Director Kristen Rand states, "The gun lobby's foot soldiers went AWOL in this election."To those who answer up to this description, "Thank you one and all for selling out your own RKBA and our soldiers in the war on terror."
