It's not the WIPEOUT that lardball was claiming, so DUmmies can rejoice, but they better get used to GRIDLOCK...50-50 senate and small majority in the house isn't enough to dictate terms or for Bush to cave on his agenda.
If they are smart , they are scared. I look for the Middle east to turn into a blood bath that makes when we left Viet Nam look like a boy scout picnic.
Carolyn
Oh well for starters a REAL civil war in Iraq with massacres just like after we left Vietnam.
Biblical in nature. I guess the best we can do is hope and pray the Dems did a lot of lying and spin and they won't do all they said they would. Weak, but its a hope.
Bring our troops home NOW!!! After the Dems take over it will be withdrawal anyway--I hope we don't make it long and drawn out, Not one more soldier should die defending a country the US won't support for the long term.---The biggest losers yesterday were our military and the Iraqis. It's so depressing...
Iran will invade Iraq probably before we are even fully out.
Thats just not going to happen...ever...not while the oil pumps are pumping.
Why do people continue to believe that this is even remotely possible is beyond me.
When it comes down to it...the U.S. (and other ME oil dependant contries for that matter) will choose the status quo in Israel before $12 per gallon gas every time. The status quo works out good...we give them aid, we sell them arms, and Israel fights back...but only nominally...they never bring out the big guns. I mean cmon...do you really think the state department supports a Palestinian state because of the "plight of the Palestinian people"? LMAO! Its about keeping oil dependent Western economys afloat IMHO. Its gotta be...if left to their own choices, Israel could have demolished their muzzie enemies years ago.
Look waht a donk congress brought us. Thank you Michelle Malkin, Rich Lowery, Bill Kristol, Michael Savage, Laura Ingram and others whom constantly slammed the GOP on everything for discouraging voters to sit out thiselection. Thank you all you SOBs for putting my children at further risk.
You'll see casualties skyrocket now so they can say they forced us out.
And Iran will overwhelm Iraq and Kuwait.
Probably the Saudis too in the long run.
All the troops died for nothing again.
You must be one of those pre 9/11 species I heard about.
Do you really believe Israel will let Iran have nuclear weapons? I know they are swayed by what we say but if it is about survival they will not just sit around and let that happen.
What happens if we lose those two Senate seats that are up for grabs, which we probably will...what then?
The civil war will be short as Iran will invade Iraq after we leave. The result will be a bloodbath, and we are close to the next step of Iran launching a nuke at Israel, which will essentially cause Israel to wipe out Iran (remember, Israel has a substantial nuclear stockpile, believed to be around 200 warheads). I wonder how will the Democrats feel when the entire Middle East is in flames, destroying over 50% of the world's known oil reserves.
No my friend, I think not. I was just stating the obvious.
I can't imagine if I had lost a loved one in Iraq how I would feel today. I wish I could write to them all personally and tell them how sorry I am. Died for nothing. It's heart breaking.
There is no terrorist threat! There is no terrorist threat! /s
No doubt it was obvious .....about 20 years ago.
Israel will not strike until there is a major strike from the terrorist, a real calamity. Israel is under a lot of international pressure to maintain restraint. With the dems if Israel is attacked, they will cut funds, and fund the terrorist instead. What a way for the international community to lose confidence in us. We will just have to listen, observe, and plan.
