"So... do you think the President will give a damn about what Pelosi will say or what the polls will say. You do not know this man very well yet do you?"

Oh I think I know him well, however the Constitution and the law cannot be gotten around, he can wage War for 90 days then he needs approval from Congress, and he ain't getting it. And I would bet he knows to do so and have to pull out would be worse than not going at all. It would damage the Republicans on the world stage for many years to come.

Contrary to popular thought Presidents can't really do all the much. Especially when it come to spending money and such, that is the purview of Congress, more precisely the house.

In general... Whether he will go "Bipartisan" or stand up for us.

It will be the difference in how the Dem's new leadership is viewed. As a success or a failure. Just the way Clinton fought and managed to make the GOP congress look bad.

"They ran as moderates, but they sure ain't moderate."

I agree. The operative phrase is "ran as".

Tester (RAT) 149,164 49%
Burns (PUBBIE) 143,894 48%
Jones (L) 7,803 3%

84% precincts reporting - Updated: 4:52 a.m. ET

Looking like the magic number is 5,270 with most of the pro-RAT votes in, including all of Glacier.

Ohio had a problem, Ney. NJ and Maryland are strong blue states. We never had a real chance in those states.

Can I help you? LOL .. I'm orginally from W.Mass., but have been gone for many years, except for the annual family Christmas trip.

Right, and when Congress is back in session, they'll be catering to the whims of the kook left blogosphere that they keep in touch with on Dkos.

Democracy? The Founders didn't aim to create a democracy. This kind of bullshit is what you get when you allow the rule of the mob.

A large number of the people who voted Democrat today (and in other elections, to be sure) are too stupid to pour piss out of a boot with instructions written on the heel.

For the 3rd party voters, since they voted for neither democrat or republican, they didn't affect the race.

Would you please stop with this? Thanks to voters like you, we got stuck with Bill Clinton. Twice. Don't tell me they didn't affect the race, becuase it's nonsense.

Exactly! Harold Edsel Ford ran as a moderate, but his corrupt family is well known in TN.

" ...there isn't any difference between the GOP and the Dems."

Well we'll have the next two years to test out your theory and see if its true. My guess is, it isn't.
