Brit is very subdued; He seems sad.

I have to agree with your #3627. Republicans still haven't figured out that fear of terrorism has faded, and the electorate refuses to be pushed too far to the right otherwise.

Of the urban counties, it seems that Nashville (Davidson County) is the most out - only 32% is in, and Ford is leading there so far about 60-40.

15 seat pick-up for Dems is not a slaughter.

Agree. It took the Dimms 12 years and the sixth year of a presidency to get here.

I hope the Dimms don't get comfortable. I for one am actually starting to look forward to 2008....especially since we'll have someone else to blame for everything that goes wrong ;-)

At least frustrated conservatives will now have someone to blame.

Pelosi won't close the borders!
Pelosi just devalued my house!
Pelosi made my dog take a dump on the kitchen floor!

You're very welcome. The light is still on and prayers are not unanswered.
Keep the faith.

Humbly,

If it's close, which it looks like it will be, I don't think it's certain that Pelosi gets to be Speaker at all.

Hasert is on saying "Hey no problem we can still get some stuff done." I think he is part of why we lost. I don't think he was very strong. This is basically his concession speech.

I sold much of my stock today also and I'm moving my 401k around first thing tomorrow morning.... Get ready, this country is doomed - I'm going to do the best to hold on to whatever money I've accumulated, but I have a sinking feeling that my family will be robbed of all of it and have to watch helplessly as it's redistributed to the "constituency."

I hate the way FOX covered this election. Not very fair or balanced.

We need a new conservative network.

We need a FReeper TV station.

My father had his heart set on moving up to NH. I bet he'll reconsider after tonight.

Then again, it looks like the Commucrats are going to win our district too...so maybe Idaho is more our speed.

Is this good or bad?
If he got 100% and his name were Jesse Jackson, we'd bithc (deliberate misspell).
Since he has 30%, and he is one of us, this bodes well for the Dems losing their traditional hold on African-Americans.....

I'm still bitter about Blackwell....
