Putting aside Simmons, the Pubbies got fantastically lucky. They won most of the close races in the House.

The Commonwealth of VA election site still shows only 99.26% reporting. It says it's LIVE. I'm dying to see the numbers the state reports, not FOX's.

It's a center right country. Take away the corruption and the pubbies hold despite Iraq. That's my take. I'll be interested to see how many dems beating r incumbents are conservative dems as opposed to Deaniacs. I really am not in the mood for Nixons Vietnamese strategy in Iraq.

Shoot! Major Garrett talked to those inside the dems and stated Murtha wouldn't run against Hoyer for a position but instead wants the head of the Appropriations Committee.
If so, either way Rangel or Murtha... defunding the war.

FOX mentioned, off the cuff, that votes are still being counted everywhere. There's absentees that still have to be counted in some areas. All the calls so far are projected (but probably pretty close to being right).

It looks like Gard is in trouble, so add another Dem gain probably from the Torie baseline.

Shep just said they're picking up as much as 30 to 35 seats in the House?

Not missing. The director of elections, or whatever bureaucratic title it is, only sent 150 ballots to one of Wilsons precincts. And then they didn't supply her voters with provisional ballots. This particular precinct voted for Wilson by 68% last time. And here's the kicker, they did it in another Wilson precinct as well.

So they'll let all those good men and women in Iraq die in vain and turn Iraq into a radical Muslim stronghold. Only democrats could be that suicidal.

We need to prepare for the worse I guess and hope for the best. Looks like we will lose MO.

You can say that again. Now I guess they'll spend more bad military stories to help Rangel or Murtha in their push to defund. How can these men ever have served in their lives? I've never seen so many turncoats in my life.

The numbers on the VA site are different than fox's but they still show Webb ahead by 1500. I'm wanting to see a swap with Allen coming up by 7K.

The local networks called it for Roskam (IL-06). At least a House seat that I spent time on was saved.

I think it's D+28 with 47 undecided.
