I agree. They get no closer than six. The look on Schumer's face yesterday was telling. It was not a "Well, we won't get the Senate, but Pelosi will be Speaker" face, it was a "Oh man, those internals are death on a bun" face.
My prediction: The GOP holds the House, the Dems learn nothing from their defeat, and John Kerry continues to suck like a jet-powered Shop Vac until the day he dies.
I remember that as well, but Nixon caused us to lose. Iraq is NOT like Watergate. We will win this election because our MILITARY and the rest of the free world demands it!
GOD please be with us today. Amen!

Morris is no dummie, but I still remember how he predicted a GOP gain of seats in the double digits in 1998. We all know how that worked out...
:-)
Morris is very good at taking polls. I've said that in past and give him due credit.
He's just not very good at analysing the data he obtains and making predictive analysis on that data. He lets his own prejudices and media filter into it.
Strange . . .
Went to vote the ticket for the GOP in beautiful Bucks County, PA and there was very little foot trafic at the polls. An easy three-hour wait on e-day in 2004.
Today I was in and out in less than five minutes.
Bucks County went blue in 2004, so where is all the anger and the angst from the "Hair on Fire" left that the media promised us at the polls today?
bttt
I'd read alot about the move to the right in the PEW and Gallup polls but didn't realize that so much of it was concentrated in the NE. That's pretty significant IMHO. If democrat support is weak in NJ and NY anything's possible.
Thanks for the report.
Now...Where are all the Northern VA Freepers!!
Looking at the current weather map, it looks like the Jedi-climatrol is working in most of the metro areas. Rain in Toledo, Dayton, Cleveland, Akron, Cincinnati, Youngstown.... Now, we need a climactic disturbance in points east.....
I'm not up one what this is all about. Who is Obi Wan at NRO?
Consider if those translations were directly proportional to the House races: Shays, Simmons, Johnson, even Sweeny would not be in trouble but ahead.
He calls him Obi wan. Obi wan was dead on in his analysis in 2004. I sense here that Obi wan is even more optimistic than Jim.
I am still sticking to my prediction of little change, even though I am a little nervous.
Interesting analogy with 1976. Of course, that was a presidential race result, but the GOP has had great success nationalizing these House races under Dubya....unfortunately this could cut against us just as it cut for us in 2002....its going to be an interesting evening.....I'm with you, I sure hope we don't lose a bunch of seats by 2% or less...that would really stink...
Ya mean Pelosi got her newest facelift for nothing?
Same here at my mostly democrat precinct here in Cuyahoga County Ohio, that's Cleveland for those who don't know. It seems to be a steady trickle not the massive crush all day that was 2004.
I sense a great disturbance in the Force; as though millions of moonbats cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced.
There's nothing odd going on in MI - we are kicking some Dem a$$. Go DeVos! Go Bouchard!
LOL.
